I'd like to point out that the clothing they are wearing isn't kimono. Kimono is Japanese traditional clothing and as BTS are Korean, they are wearing modernized version of Korean traditional gowns for men with traditional hats. Korean traditional clothing is called 'Hanbok'.

The part where RM is stuttering while rapping - he's basically making fun of people who at first insulted them when they were small then suddenly when BTS became big, they want to apologize and be all nice to them. They're calling out all the fakes in the companies and entertainment industry. He's making fun of how they apologize, stuttering and shit. RM's not even raising his voice in the song because he doesn’t have anything to prove to anyone, it’s like “I’ll just give you this real quick, don’t even worry about it” 😂😂

No one is saying it's "his fault" but people should take a second to contemplate what they're saying and rethink thought processes ie. why they would automatically assume that an Asian wearing a robe like garment is wearing a kimono even though that is not from their culture.

DKDK did a good job in explaining the korean word play, but still missed some parts. Like RM suddenly stuttering, where he is mocking other rappers or J-Hope's whole verse about others trying to figure out how to copy their success (which YG entertainment is especially known for.. and SM too.. they've actually been investing money to get to understand BTS' fame when it is obviously not a thing that can be copied) Yoongi's part is also about how no one believed in them, looked down on them, cut them out (of shows, concerts, etc) and how the boys got on top DESPITE all that

my favourite part of this song is definitely namjoon's verse. the explanation video doesn't mention it, but a lot of people have said that the part where he's stuttering refers to people in the industry who have hated on them in the past approaching them at award shows/music shows and nervously apologizing/trying to make small talk.

I say this almost every time I see someone react to this explained video. I really like the cultural aspects, but I feel like David missed the mark when it comes to his interpretation of 'frog in the well'. I think RM is not mocking other people for being stuck in KOREA, but for being stuck in a narrow mindset that prevents them from exploring new and different ways to do things, and that's why they'll never grow out of where they are professionally. RM is very proud of Korea so he wouldn't use it to mock someone. But he would roast people who always say "a rapper can't do this' or 'an idol singer can't do this' - that is a frog in the well mentality and because they are willing to look and expand beyond their boundaries, that's why they're the most successful and people who refuse to get out of their well will die in there.

A lot of the lyrics are English, but pronounced in a clipped Korean way. In my opinion, the details of the card game are not all that important to deciphering the significance of the song. But the song is still very clever and blunt at the same time. Quite the achievement, Namjoon. I adore joonie.

What I love about BTS is that they are straight up savage but they do it in a very artistic and classy way. Those that have insulted them have no choice but to admire and accept when they know they've been beaten. This is my favorite Rap song. And I love the way you are bringing out the part of the ARMY who really have been around awhile and who understand where things come from culturally and within the BTS history... I read the comments too as much as I can (OK, yes, I'm slow and sometimes I fall asleep before I can finish them ). And I've spent a LOT of time following BTS on KZbin, Twitter and in the press and sometimes on Quora... The fact that before listening to bts I used to ignore raps. Listening to raps was not just my thing. Even after getting into bts I used avoid the rapline's tracks. But after listening to Agust D, I completely fell head over heels to rapping. Then ofc these chypers stole my heart completely. Not only bts's tracks I stared to enjoy raps from every language. I'm thankful for them, plus the fact that they completely changed my taste in music plus made me more open minded. Taehyung made me a jazz enthusiasm. 💜

YOONGI PART NOT explained He is talking about how people looked down upon bts and didnt even try to give them chance to show their talent coz they didn't belong from a big 3 company. But bts believed in themselves and overcame those prejudiced, unaccepting society who wete so used to support only idols from big 3 companies and ignore idols from small companies even though they were more talented but bts broke the monotonous rule of those big 3 companies and change everything he is encouraging the artists from small companies to work hard and believe in themselves and wishing them to become successful like bts by hard work and true talent.
