1. the long stroke SOHC is same like existing 350cc from RE and yes it has loads of low and mid range grunt. 2. vstorm engine is good 3. this will sell like hot cakes now like hunter❤

Chhapris prefer top speed. Mature riders prefer low and mid range performance with effortless cruising.

A himalayan with that 440 engine would have been so much better than the 450. I own a 2020 411 and had tried the 450 on few test rides but it just didnt make any sense to me eventhough after 5 years, it is time for me to upgrade. An ideal motorcycle for me is the one that I can enjoy in the city as well as offroad and with its low end torque, improved reliability after several years of feedback and its much better looks, the 411 checked almost all the boxes whereas the 450 imo doesnt look as good especially the hideous looking instrument cluster, windscreen and tank proportions, is more for the highway / definitely not for the city with its poor low end and frequent gear shifts AND costs 1 lakh more for that - ridiculous. Idk who wants a bike purely for the highway and a bit of offroading - guess their sales numbers already delineate this. The 411 had its drawback on the highways but that is a more acceptable drawback than having a motorcycle with poor low end and requiring frequent gear shifts. I just hope they dont make the same blunder on the upcoming 750 that i am waiting for - obviously have to wait for 6+ months for launch and another year after that to avoid being RE's guinea pig. I just wish they bring back the himalayan with the 440 engine or at least provide a retrofitting option BY RE on the scram 440 with a 21 inch front, tank rails and the rear rack and obviously some more colors. They should not forget that there is a F450 GS and Xpulse 400 in the making and both would be eager to make inroads in the 450's territory - discounting the 390 adv which with its hideous orange and white and "you can have any color as long as its black" attitude will likely go down the drain

Service availability dekho , usi ki problem ayegi aage ja Kar. Vstrom engine baria hai , but service center Kamm hai.

RE said they worked on clutch and its lighter but yes No SAC in 2.5+L bike is nono. Traction Control - not needed for such low power bike

Bhaiji ... Aapke hisaab se mujhe kaunsi leni chaahiye... Scram 440 or Maverick or vstorm 250 ?? Mein ek nature & wildlife photographer hu aur mostly jungles aur pahadi area mae photography kane jata hu... Raaste ubad khaabad hote .. extreme off road toh nahi hota...

take test ride dear.... see which is more comfortable to you .... vstrom can give you that sense of reliability but the scram can give you that xtra power to push when needed the most

Sirf practical to mein bhi nahi bolraha... Par akele theory se bhi na baat banegi... Point is calling yourself a rider and talking from your room just doesn't match up... Get the test ride bike put ur leg over it and then talk it out
