So, by popular demand from the community poll, 65% of you, or more than 650 of you, wanted to see me play Leon on Waterworld. I could've done a quick 100k and called it a day, but where's the fun in that? You wanted to see me suffer, and suffer I did.
I can legitimately say that my hands were shaking during and after that encounter with the 2nd Super Salvador. I really thought things were going to go terribly wrong for a few moments.
This map is so frustrating and even more so when playing with Leon as he has all the firepower of a wet noodle. This issue is compounded with the PS4 version hardly ever giving you grenades.
Unfortunately, my most hated nemesis, the black hooded rocket launcher ganado, killed 2 guys before the 3rd chest, taking away an extra 1980 points from my final score. So this run could have been 159,100.
And for those who don't know, you can access Leon's alternate costumes when selecting him in the character menu:
Triangle + X = Jacket
R2 + X = RPD Uniform
Triangle + R2 + X = Mafia Costume.

Nice work ! I guess it's really hard with Leon for his poor firearms in the inventory, extremely low chance of getting a grenade from the enemies, and shame that the RL guy killed 2 of the ganados before kicking off the last chest, but I think you still pulled off the run pretty neatly all the same, if not it went perfect as you expected it to go. :) I'm going to watch your Hunk run later :)

Yeah, that RL guy always makes a mess of my runs. Could've been 159k or maybe even 160k had he not done that. Oh well. Once I reached this score I was so sick of this stage and of Leon's arsenal that I just wanted the suffering to stop lol

In 2:40 the fact that super salvador was infront of you and u didnt run amazed me. And by reading the desc i could tell that leon is the hardest play not only in waterwarld but in every map except for base. They should've gave him atleast one weapon fully tuned

For some reason, enemies stop spawning at some point, I barely make 17 - 28 combos, 61 would be impossible for me. Also I think the combo timer is shorter for me, I think might be different depending on what console are you playing in. I play the Steam version. Also, when I shot super Salvador with the shotgun, he doesn't get stunned, and it's impossible to run from him after doing a quick turn if you are at 2 - 3 meters from him.

Because you're not repeatedly crossing the spawn lines. The combo timer is universal across all versions. As for Super Salvador, he will get stunned if you shoot him properly but it's much harder when he's swinging like crazy.

Nice! You got 4 more kills in first chest than Wii's wr, but SuperSalvador was the first kill in the chest whereas in Wii's route he was killed after 4 kills, that made you lose some points. Congrats, very nice score! :)

I only miss 2 stars in mercenaries and they are both in Waterworld ... one with leon and one with hunk ... I tried 15 times today with hunnk but nothing .. then with Wesker Krauser and Ada it took only one attempt (weapons deadly) ... With Leon I didn't even make it even if I noticed that the rifle does good damage to the GS .... I discovered this extra mercenaries recently, I didn't know that RE4 had so much more to say ... I looked for the records and you appeared to me ... You are a monster, a hurricane ... You made me want to try now but I refer you to tomorrow ... hoping to unlock the blessed Handgun, -.-, Question - did you change Leon's dress in Mercenaries via mod or is there a way to change it that I missed?

They didn't patch anything. You have to shoot them directly in the head with the shotgun in order to stun them, but once they're swinging they have a certain level of resistance to it. This is why I attacked both when they were stationary.

...And I thought 60K was hard enough, Do them big chainsaw guys just spawn at random or do they have specific triggers. (I swear I've had chainsaw guys spawn on the other side of doors I literally just open)

One spawns immediately at the start, his location varies depending on the player's starting point. The 2nd one spawns at 30 kills.

@@Sarcosuchas The first one spawns immediately sometimes unless I start in the towers; THEN he spawns at the start and hauling ass towards me. 2nd just seems to be immortal, barrels don't seem to stagger the 2nd guy.

@@toddhammond1953 They always spawn immediately at the start. If you're on the tower, he spawns at the base of it. If you spawn inside the building, he's in the other building If you spawn on the ground, he's in the L shaped building in the room with the bonus chest. 2nd one has double the health of the first and has stun/stagger resistance but will go down. My 60k guide videos show various methods on how he can be dealt with; to the point I can get 60k+ with Leon using just the knife.

To me I would love it if there was co-op mode in this game like you can play online or split screen I also imagine a co-op mode in mercenaries where you can play online or split screen can you imagine how awesome that would be?

RE5's co-op for Mercenaries and such was very enjoyable, so one for RE4 would be really cool. The inventory system would need reworked though.

In my opinion, Leon is hardest character in merchanaries, very hard to fighting bella sister and mega dr salvador ':(

Childhood is when you're scared of super Salvador... Adulthood is when you're frustrated by those annoying and relentless crossbowmen. I hate them so much on this map ! Especially when playing as Leon or Krauser (maybe even Hunk) who have a hard time insta killing them from afar
