Roscoe and Finley started becoming real, 3D, and alive. We got to know them very well, and Willa was just a great female lead. She was strong, but vulnerable. Malcolm was like an onion, slowly revealing different layers, and he went from being the antagonist, to being a member of the team. Great acting. Unfortunately, we got to know them, and then we don't see them anymore.

It was a 24hr stream and the mood was kinda slow since they were going for a while and when Alan came on the stream, lifting the mood would be an understatement. Didn't read the books, but the show is one of the best ones i ever watched, the pacing looks so real life to me and Alan is so good in looking intimidating without saying anything. The humor was so on point every time, those 3 are golden. The fight scenes are superb, you can see that every blow is meant to end the fight. Want more of that.

You HAVE to read the books! They are great reads. They are why, we the fans of the books, wanted a REAL Jack Reacher to play Reacher when we first learned that Tom Cruise was going to be playing him in the movie(s). Alan Ritchson is that guy. He epitomizes the real Jack Reacher in every way.

The first season pretty much follows the book in terms of action and authenticity. The second season, so far, does deviate somewhat from the book in that, IMO, it makes Reacher grittier and more violent.

One of the best interactive and engaging interviews with the lead cast members I've ever seen and also engages the audience with some trivia and questions. I have read every Reacher book and really appreciate the adaptation to film of the book. There are some details that are different but as explained, reading the book compared to adapting to film can't always be reproduced. Brilliant, and well done! I can't wait and hope that there are PLENTY of seasons to come!

I love that he talked about eating during scenes! That's a question that had been on my mind since the first time I watched the show. I couldn't tell if he was really eating the whole time, or just so good at acting that it was impossible to tell. Most actors don't eat on camera for real, because it's often messy, and you have to eat a lot if there are multiple takes. Watching him actually eat pie while answering questions was a joy.

Willa Fitzgerald has an incredible bio...schooled at a very prestigious girl's only private prep school in Memphis, then Yale performing arts...she is classically trained and educated and a fine actor with delicate features and who just happens to be drop dead gorgeous. My son and I sat around one day trying to figure out who in Hollywood could play a good Jack Reacher and came up with no one but casting picked the perfect guy! Exactly how I pictured Reacher. Incredible series, incredible casting! Casting a Jack Reacher who is just as entertaining and fun to watch off screen is impressive enough, all this while Alan is usually using his personal time and following online to talk about mental illness awareness and different ways people facing similar problems may go about understanding issues, seeking out professional help, ways of learning how to adapt, or just different ways of thinking and meditation... Now that's what's I call an "Influencer" 👍 Looking forward to season 2! After I re-watch season 1 of course, since likely Willa and Malcom won't be back for the next one 😪 but atleast they both had terrific performances in this first season, which from now on will always be THE standard for comparison 😉👍

I have read every Reacher book Lee Childs has written. Some I have read twice. I know the character extremely well. Alan Ritchson is the best human personification of Reacher currently on screen.

@1018 it mentions the Tamborito. The Tamborito is a Panamanian folkloric dance and music that's hundreds of years old. It's danced mainly by couples and it has lots of percussion. The Killing Floor was originally published in 1997, before the closure of U.S. military bases in the former Panama Canal Zone. According to Reacher's history, he was stationed in Panama at some point in his career. Being American-Panamanian myself, and familiar with the country, I got a kick out that in the series.

I am glad that some of the old cast in the first episode (detective) showed up in the second episode. I hadn’t seen the female officer yet though. I can’t remember her name, but I thought Reacher and her were good together in the first episode. I would like to see her and him meet up again. I’m hooked on this series.
