Someone's got to say it... I think as far as acting bring true to the books, Cruise did better. Except he's 5'6" at best. Also, Lee Childs retired and his brother took over. Teacher has for alot chattier which is not good.

Maria Sten as Neagley, it looked like she was born to play that role. A badass in every meaning of the word. She was a late addition in Season 1, so I'm glad she has more screen time this Season. Oh, she is also smokin' hot, no matter how much they seem to try and hide it.

Holy moly, it's such a dichotomy to see 'Reacher' so smiley! This show is one of the best of all time, IMO. The acting is top level, the writing? OH. MY. GOSH. The little jabs and smart ass comments thrown in don't detract, they add so much and make us love the characters even more, it makes them feel so real to us. I am 43 and haven't been so excited for weekly episodes since, errr, probably the 90s! Massive kudos to the literal entire team for putting together a show that we love and that spans generations. My 21 year old son and I both love chatting about the episodes... and oh my gosh , what about this, that or the other. Can't say enough good things about this entire work of art. ❤

I only remmembered him from Blue Mountain State, which is a great comedy TV series, and arguebly he was the star of it, and the show wouldn't be what it was without him, but the shift to a more serious role really surprised me, and once again, he nailed it. I'm glad this guy is seeing success, he deserves it.

I loved season 1. Season 2 was also great. However, I would have loved if they didn't skip this many books. I remember I really liked 2 of the books between 2 and 7 (can't remember which). I don't know if they will just keep going forward or they can go back on some of the books but I am a little sad if they don't go back and we don't get to see them.

I had seen no trailers before watching this season so when I saw that the main story was bringing in his old military buddies, I was in disbelief that was done this early. This story should've been saved for a season 5 or 6/the series finale, ending with Reacher settling down with Dixon.

This show is almost perfect. It's showing me action and writing at a level that I would never have expected or demanded them to push to, just pleasantly surprised by the quality of writing. The banter is just chefs kiss, its bordering on silly, but not cringe or woke. How is a show about 4 ex military outcasts a 9/10 and a show about Godzilla and titans a 2/10. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.

Tom Cruse had a great line in the first movie, "everyone I arrest is a trained killer!" Not completely true but as a military police including in vietnam most people were armed, but most had desk jobs or jobs in the back ground. I took drugs off of many soldiers bringing them back to base and had to fight most of them. But I was not shot at and if I was I was a heavily trained killer myself.

season 3 is happening as we speak. i just hope it doesn't turn into like Witcher series were woke takes over. As a non American viewer there is barely anything worth watching from west, Reacher was a good surprise.

It's great the show is continuing, but I see it being hard to move along because this season already felt like a series finale with bringing in his "adopted military family" as the main storyline. From a writing standpoint, I wonder what the logic was. If you really enjoyed this, I strongly recommend checking out "Justified" and "Chuck."

I've enjoyed both seasons and I'm not sure if the writers use the author's exact wording from the books but there are some really cheesy/cringe-y lines that pop up occasionally that need to be changed. Let's hope for Season 3!

*SPOILER: I throught that in the helicopter scene, they blow a great oppertunity. Reacher should have grabbed Lanston by the face, gouged out his eye, showed it to him and then thrown him out. And then in disqust tossed the eye as well.! PERFECT PAYBACK.!!

They couldn't do this without Neagley as it was her who got Reacher involved and you /definitely/ couldn't cast another actress as Neagley. Once cast in the first series you can't then swap her out. If you don't want the character choose a book she isn't in... which is most of them.

Years ago my local radio station had an interview with Lee Child’s, I managed to get to ask him a question which was “who would you like to play Reacher on the big screen “ his answer to thousands of listeners - “anyone but Tom Cruise “, having read all the books Alan is perfectly cast as reacher, pity he didn’t get the call from the start. Great show.
