The hilarity of Robert Patrick's character when asked "Who's Sarah Connor", and responding with "I don't give a shit" is a not-so-inside joke seeing as he spent the entire Terminator 2 chasing her. The writers had fun with that one.

Props to the cast; the chemistry is like they've worked together for years, plus they're all smart in their own way, not just dim sidekicks for Reacher to explain stuff to in order to infodump on the audience.

The books chosen for season one and season 2 have (at least) two things in common. Neely is in both of them. She's one of very few recurring characters in the novels. And Reacher has a deep personal connection to the victims, making us more invested in Reacher's amplified response. I'm really enjoying this.

My favorite book in the whole series made into a season. I already know I’m going to love it. I think this is the only book in the whole series where Reacher has a team behind him. Sure, in the other 27 books he gets assistance from folks along the way. But this is the only story where he gets a team, his team, trained by him, led by him, and who’ll follow his lead without hesitation that makes it such a great story. If they just follow the blueprint laid out by the novel and adapt it well, I’d say you are in for a treat.

Like you I loved season 1 and was looking forward to season 2 so much and have been watching and egerly anticipating each new episode. You speaking about how huge and intimidating Reacher is and no one should ever want to engage with him brought back a memory of my cousin. Years ago I was visiting and went out to dinner with him and his wife. Her food was messed up and not as she ordered it, but when she told the waiter, instead of taking care of it he started to give her some snark. My big, 6'5" and broad-shouldered muscular cousin didn't say a word but simply stood up and faced the waiter, who suddenly was all apologetic and said he would get it fixed.

Reacher's character was well-defined in the Season 1 comment back to Roscoe, explaining the villager killings: "You have a problem with that? Because I want to know who I'M working with." Touché. I am concerned about Alan Ritchson's future... he's only 41 now but if it takes 2 years to complete a book, that means they can only do - what? 5 books? 9 books? There are 29 total (at this point) plus a "RULES - a Jack Reacher Guidebook". So, I need to pick up my pace. I can probably finish the rest in 2024 then hope & pray (or join campaigns) to get The Best Books using Alan Ritchson. Because he's not going to make it thru even 10 more (15-20 years). Why aren't fans getting that Time Machine working so we can keep shipping Ritchson back a few years at a time. "Gee - notice how he looks the same in 2033 as he did 2023?"

Honestly, if you love this show so much 'Banshee' staring The Boys Antony Starr will change your World! Reacher honestly feels a bit like Banshee lite in a few places and seems to be leaning into that Lucas Hood character type. Seriously, Banshee, even if not for the channel.💖

So, with a book adaptation into tv episode, they needed action every episode. The ATM scene was different in the book. There was no lady, no carjacking. Reacher just needs money, goes to the ATM, and sees that his balance is off. Somehow he had gotten 1030.00 more than he should have had. So, he calls the bank and goes through this whole thing with the bank rep to find out who put the money into his account and finds out it was Neagly. Neagly had to track down Reacher's bank and account number to do it. The series streamlines things which makes it seem he's Sherlock Holmes when in the book, he eventually figures it out, but it takes a while, at times he initially gets it wrong... think House.
