This was SOOOO interesting to watch. Seeing the focus that the elders put on their distaste for the words Jay used and how uncomfortable they felt with the imagery. It's supposed to make you uncomfortable, you're supposed to feel bad, but that doesn't mean we get to turn away or push it to the side. The idea that some of them thought this was a step backwards, in terms of society, simply because it addressed deep rooted stereotypes really shows the generational gap in reactions to race. So interesting.

It's not a step back, we just haven't taken as many steps forward as they thought we had. I genuinely hope they reflect and open their eyes a little, but I doubt it. Most of them didn't seem to open minded...

Maybe in the older days people were very focused on moving away from those stereotypes, and this feels awkward to them. Nowadays directly confronting what those stereotypes were is more popular.

2021, and this video is still very interesting to dissect. They all get the point, coming with their own critical decisions. Few applaud, and see the hard truth in the message. While the other elders seem overwhelmed and shy away from the opposition. This is very interesting and educational. Dope 🔥 video 👍🏽

Okay did not put an apostrophe in can't (-15 points), and did not make an end to your sentence by placing a period (-30 points). I feel like when you grow up with seeing real stuff like this on tv all the time, it’s hard to accept the message because it reminds you of a time you don’t want to think about. It’s like when we get real old, imagine our grandkids trying to show us an animation that displays police brutalities from the early 2000s. We might be so distracted by what we can actually remember than watch the animation.
