This was SOOOO interesting to watch. Seeing the focus that the elders put on their distaste for the words Jay used and how uncomfortable they felt with the imagery. It's supposed to make you uncomfortable, you're supposed to feel bad, but that doesn't mean we get to turn away or push it to the side. The idea that some of them thought this was a step backwards, in terms of society, simply because it addressed deep rooted stereotypes really shows the generational gap in reactions to race.
