Blue laws are a trip. Some that used to be on the books into 1980s in New York are: department stores couldn’t open until after 1 pm on Sunday. Drug stores and bakeries could but anything else had to wait until long after church got out. Alcohol could not be sold or purchased on Sunday until after noon. Time bars closed depended on the county. Bars where I lived closed at midnight went to college and they closed at 3am.

I do know that for Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, they were filming off the coast of Somalia and having problems with the real Somali pirates, culminating in several attempts to kidnap principal cast members. So when it came time to film for Pirates of the Caribbean: Stranger Tides, they filmed in Hawaii for the scenery and proximity to the US Navy (specifically the headquarters of the US Pacific Fleet).

Hello Fellow Humans, So I grew up poor. So I did this when I was 11 maybe 12. I had my hoodie on and I reached for candy at a gas station and I would look like I was putting it back and I actually put it in my sleeves. I bought one but I took like 5 candy bars. I feel bad but it was from a shell and it is still there today so clearly they are doing fine as that was in the middle of the 90s. Like 1994 or something like that. I still feel bad, but I was tired of my rich friends having king size candy bars and I didn't have any at all. Good ole peer pressure and poor vs rich people. Maybe we should do away with money and help everyone. But I give food to people all the time so it balances out. For example when I worked at Starbucks they tossed all food away daily. So I would take sandwiches and pastries on my bike and as I rode home I would give the food out to homeless people. We really waste so much in the USA.
