Don't expect flying cars from that timeline to be in this one. Put it this way, If you don't like how DOT (Department of Transportation) is putting regulation on the road when you drive your car, you'll definitely WILL NOT like how FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) regulates the air when you fly in it. Because you'll have to put up with them to do so. Otherwise, they ground you.

This entire episode was a flashback to my childhood (I'm 51). All these shows were in syndication when I was in elementary school and would be on after school, after the last soap opera and before the evening news. Although I enjoy the internet and the additional choices it provides ('cause I still live in the country!), one benefit of life before the internet is that I was exposed to a lot of random stuff because I watched or read whatever I could get my hands on. There were weekends where I read the Reader's Digest Handyman Guide and learned about plumbing out of boredom :-). It is too easy for my kids to give up on a TV show or book because they know they can easily find something else that is in their genre.

I'm so glad my parents brought me up on quality shows. I knew every single one, and still watch most of them quite regularly :D

The Jetsons got a couple of things right like video calling, and flat screen TV. We're still working on the flying car and intelligent robots but be assured; the robots are coming.

I knew all of these and the main reason I did is because I didn't have cable growing up but these shows were on one of the 20 channels I did have.
