A thought for future videos if its possible see if you could have the guest walk past grandma without her even noticing Tbh I thought you did that in the beginning of this video. (Pretty sure that was you that walked passed) But i dont know if you have others people around when you have these meetings. Just an idea... Possibly for the future.

I'm only 39 seconds in and Grandma has touched my heart at least twice already: 1. She looks like she got dressed for something important to her. Like it's a special occasion. (She always looks nice - this just seems maybe fancier?) 2. "What if I'm rude accidentally?" She just gets cooler and cooler - every question she asked was sensitive and curious, she has barely any struggles at all with the modern acceptance of trans people, just wants to understand. And shows so much empathy, despite obviously having quite a traditional upbringing. Shout outs to Pungja too, who put herself out there and explained patiently and really well - I can only imagine it's tough to answer some of those questions, but she wasn't phased at all. My Opa (means Grandfather) told me a story that when he was little he was leaving a grocery store with his mom (my great grandmother) and bumped into someone. The person turned around and saw my great-grandmothers pretty dress and said "oh you look so lovely. I so wish to wear such pretty dresses like women do!" And my great grandmother said "then why on earth don't you?" And gave the stranger her address so they could come by and she could fit them for their first ever dress. My Opa said he asked his mom "does this mean boys are allowed to wear dresses?" And my great grandmother told him "of coarse! Sometimes I wear trousers, don't I?" Keep in mind this was the 1940's just outside of Amsterdam. So the stranger came by and my great-grandmother took their measurements and together they picked out fabrics and over the coarse of a few days my Opa watched and chatted with them while my great-grandmother taught the person to sew. Eventually my Opa said "Mama says boys can wear dresses because girls wear trousers. I've never seen a boy wear a dress before, not even at school." And the person got very quiet and glanced at my great-grandmother and then said "I haven't seen a boy wear a dress either. I sometimes think perhaps I'm meant to be a woman but God put me in the wrong body." And my Opa said "how could God make such a mistake?" And my great-grandmother said "God makes no mistakes. God makes plans. Perhaps God put you in a man's body because he has great plans for you. Perhaps you're meant to teach us. I think God wishes for you to teach us what a true woman can be!" And my great-grandmother remained friends with that person and helped them transition and made them a part of he friend group. Now I'm not religious and tbh neither is my Opa, but we both agree that in my great-grandmother's case, her faith helped her keep her heart open and accepting. It's a lovely story. He only told me it recently when I came out as Pansexual to my family. My grandparents where like "okay, what is that? Oh! Well that makes a lots of sense actually" and then promptly began discussing LGBTQ+ things right infront of me and asking about what NonBinary was bc they saw it on a show once etc. They're so accepting and modern for two people in their late 70s

I love when grandma said she would welcome another woman to womanhood. That’s so beautiful. The more the merrier!

thank you so much for this video. I am a trans man and it's so encouraging to see more LGBTQ people visible in Asian countries. It makes me believe good changes are happening.

If everyone had as much compassion and thoughtfulness as grandma OK, I can imagine how different the world would be now.

These types of videos with Grandma Ok always make me so incredibly emotional, it’s impossible for me not to cry or at least tear up. What a wonderful woman she is, it’s so comforting to know people like her (especially at her age) really exist. She always makes me smile and feel so loved. And we love you too, Grandma Ok! ❤️
