It could have just as likely been stalling and being patient to see his options based on the opponents movement off ledge. A lot of Steve players stall and space for openings when they otherwise could be pressured by the opponent. Regardless, it was a hype play either way

The Steve Cart into building off stage with the DeDeDe bonk WAS on purpose because not only would he have made it back without building but he PULLED BACK to build in that specific place. Genius.
@hylianpokemontrainer76212 жыл бұрын
10:46 the fact that this side B wouldn't hit him is what makes the crouch good, because Falco wouldn't have passed through. The Snake would have had to either turn around for the up tilt or ftilt, so he simplified the kill with that. Insane
@mixycat_yay2 жыл бұрын
The stage spike from the Steve at 3:15 was definitely intentional. Lmao. He built backwards, and he wouldn’t do that if he just wanted to recover, so yeah, that’s definitely 1,000 IQ. Never seen a minecart stage spike setup before. xD

Probably the reason there’s a lot Steve clips is because the more projectiles or objects a character can place ahead of time the more of a complex combo they can make. Knowing that if one thing goes wrong the set up is ruined but then seeing it all come together makes it look amazing. Purely melee characters with no projectiles can’t make such set ups and inherently will not be able to make these “1,000 IQ plays.” For example: The Steve clip where he placed tnt with a pressure plate and baited captain falcon into it was amazing because Steve had the ability to prepare ahead of time and he need that captain falcon to run into it to make it work. The clip would’ve been a lot less impressive if it was just a Shulk pressing down B. But what else is a Shulk going to do?
@LoliPeeSlurper2 жыл бұрын

Pac Man hydrant is one of my least favorite things in this game, but it does allow for some really cool stuff. Won a match once against a camping Pac Man by noticing that he kept dropping hydrant middle stage and then running to ledge. Let the water push me into Pyra forward-smashing him.

@FroggerMcSteinergold You don’t have to be “smart” to play any character but any character can do some crazy stuff if played “smartly”. Steve has a lot of tools and options for players to come up with creative combos.
@tenacity252 жыл бұрын
@@MuDkipzCHancelLOr bro waluigi is overrated lmao i can respect not enjoying steve but why would you want ANOTHER mario character in the game over the only indie rep in the entire playable roster excluding mii costumes. Sure, it's not an indie game anymore, but it started as one. If anything replace something like Byleth with waluigi lmao And honestly, fixing characters that weren't in a good spot - either balance wise or functionality wise - imo should've been more important anyways. But Sonic being lame when it doesn't really fit his character and Marth being trash shows the smash team didn't agree.

Fyi: all consumer grade/ advertised vpns are only good for switching regions in streaming services or bypassing download limits. Otherwise, they don't keep you private, and they don't really help you against malware. It doesn't help that they keep logs. Remember when they said they didn't? Nord also got hacked last year so I'd doubt the security of their services
