By my part i think all that stuff is just semi-organic. Why push when one can direct, spend minimal effort, for maximum effect by guiding a desirable path, and silencing undesirable paths And no one will be sure if you are doing something or not. You hide in the motion while stopping counter motions. That is how you influence the path of civilization.

They are talking about the lie we try to sell women in first world countries that they’ll be miserable if they go the traditional family route. The demonization of women who do want to willingly choose that is the problem. Slave away to your job and have no family if you want that’s perfectly fine, just don’t demonize someone who wants a different life, like they’re stupid and you’re omnipotent.

I have it on good authority that most people find it incredibly difficult to empathize with one's future aged self, so I am reasonably certain that the overwhelming majority of people who forego the biological imperative of reproduction aren't doing so out of a desire to issue a preemptive F.U. That same lack-of-empathy for one's future self is also responsible for poor health decisions (smoking) and poor financial decisions (no savings). Most Americans care so little about the well-being of their future selves that they don't even have $500 set aside in case their car breaks down. It's solipsism, egocentrism, self-absorption and societal validation that is driving this trend.

Next thing I know, I tripled my income, doing far better in my career, fixed my health massively, and live a comfortable life with my family. My circle of relationships has gotten smaller over the years, but the relationships I do have are much stronger and more meaningful. Having a family and kids is one of the best ways to become more focused in life and grow. Man wasn’t designed for the modern ideal, and it’s clear to me why so many people are depressed. Opting out of families and the lack of meaning in society today are undoubtedly correlated.

As a man who also doesn't want kids, I find it interesting and kind of annoying the general male perspective on women that don't want kids. Sure, being a boss babe is one motivator, but there are plenty of others which I think dominate. For example, it's almost never brought up that a woman has to be pregnant...not men. This doesn't even get into the during/post pregnancy health problems that can arise. Factor in the brunt of parenting disproportionately falling on women or the rising costs of well...everything, it's not really surprising that in an age where women are less dependent on men, more are choosing to opt out of motherhood. That said, if parenthood is for you, then by all means go for it! I don't care one way or another. I just hate how judgemental we are towards people's decisions regarding kids without even asking "why?"

It’s funny how the podcasts on this subject always focus on childless RICH women like every single one of us is on boat holidays, casually f*cking and snorting coke every weekend 😆🙄. I’m working poor, have no children and do none of those things. I never wanted a child for the sake of having one, in fact I never wanted any until I met one man at 34 and that switch immediately and surprisingly flipped. Unfortunately he broke my heart. The years it took to get over that loss mean that I’m now 40 and obviously no one is interested so I’ve accepted my lot. The alternative to that acceptance is literal Hell and I’ve already been there a couple of times. I have no wish to return. So I try my best to be a good daughter, I have two dogs who are my world and I have the spare time to help my friends and wider community when needed and yes, enjoy myself and indulge hobbies more than a parent might. I never pictured kids in my life AT ALL until I met that one man and now I feel just like I did before that, a bit sad for having missed the chance sure, but it is what it is. I’m much stronger emotionally and grateful for all the comforts and close family I have. It could be a whole lot worse is what I’m saying and there ARE 7+ billion people here, its not like we’re about to run out, although I’m not one of these de-pop people either so I don’t hate humanity and have huge respect for the mothers out there. @@EadsB7002 Wow, that's sad & should be what they focus on instead of women. They guilt trip women because they don't want to do the inner work. For me, I'm 28 years old, and even though I desire a family, I realize that I'm not missing out on anything when I realize the true nature of men; they are absolutely selfish in every single way possible. For the very few who have a genuine tendency to love and serve others they "lead" is an rare exception, rather than a rule. I recently came to the realization that the world continue to produce and train women to be wives for a world filled with improper males - men lacking in every capacity, including being unfit to be husbands and fathers. Unfortunately, it has always been this way, for the most part, but it's just more obvious in today's society due to social media. The generally overlooked unpleasant actions of men in relational dynamics is a huge detriment to society, and I will not partake in it. Men are stubborn when it comes to relational improvement, and this is the crossroads we are at. I would rather die than be with a man unworthy of me. If a man cannot be of upstanding character, integrity, trustworthy, and intentional about his actions, I want nothing of him. I would rather not entertain any man since nothing is guaranteed. Plus, if he does the unthinkable, I don't want to go to spend life in prison over a bag of bones. A vibrator produces the same results a man may not be able to produce in a woman anyway!

I'm 26, and a lot of my friends of the same age, say that they don't want to have kids. Regardless of their career, and despite being in long-term relationships, they will actively choose childlessness. One friend even told me she fears society coercing her into having kids. I think we should be asking why women don't want to have kids, rather than just sh*tting on them for not having them. There are many reasons - and as a woman myself - I understand many of them. For example, health concerns, the fear of pregnancy and childbirth (which a lot of men in the conversation tend to forget or overlook), the child's future, etc. These are all very valid reasons - and they aren't all connected to the sexual revolution. I also think women have always had these fears and concerns surrounding motherhood - the only difference nowadays, is that they are no longer forced upon us.
@tukkajumala
@tukkajumala 2 жыл бұрын
There is another difference nowadays as well: most of those fears are outdated. These days pregnancies are very safe and maternal mortality rate is less than 20 per 100,000 births in the US. In most of EU it is less than 10. So unless you have some serious illness or elevated risk factors, giving birth is perfectly safe for an average woman (in the West). Also, I think it is perfectly fine to be 26 and have no kids. There is no rush before 30. If a woman aims for 2 kids, it is enough to start around 33 to have two safe births. If you freeze eggs while 30, there is even less of a rush. If birthrates around the planet stay too low for too long, I am afraid that there will come a time when governments 'strongly encourage' women to have kids, if not outright force motherhood upon them with a penalty of heavily increased taxes. That is not a world I wish to witness.

@@tukkajumala Frozen eggs are kind of a meme, and it's not pain-free. Once thawed there is no guarantee you will actually be able to conceive with them. Unfortunately there are only 2 things remaining in life that a modern, feminist, emancipated woman is still able to give to a man: 1.: sex, and 2.: kid(s). So, if a modern woman decides to remain childless, then only sex remains and nothing else. These childless women can give sex to men till they reach 30-35 years of age, and then they become invisible to men. End of story.
@tukkajumala
@tukkajumala 2 жыл бұрын
@@spanishjohn420 I think it is crazy. We are far more affluent than at any other time in history, yet for some reason we consider ourselves to be too poor to have kids. It is all because of a faulty perception and way too high standards, not because we are actually poor. Real poverty is when you can not put enough food on the table in a crammed one-room shack while wearing your only set of clothes. Here in the West we could all afford to have four kids and still easily make ends meet, if only we lowered our standards and spent our income frugally.

Whether married or single, any woman ..... more to the point, ANY PERSON, who wishes to be able to be financially independent should do it. Staying in a relationship or leaving shouldn't have to be related to whether you can do it without being FINANCIALLY decimated. Also, just because the "male ideal" is sometimes sought by women doesn't mean they want to be men or less "female". It's because there are some things about the "male ideal" HISTORICALLY, that are BETTER. I have been asked often why I am in such a male dominated field. ........ because most great jobs ARE male dominated. Doesn't mean I want to be male or less female. What women want isn't always in quick rebellious reaction to what they didn't have before. People /men/women can also be childless, travel alot,, be married, change their minds and decide to have a kid; travel with a kid. Maybe more women than was realized WANTED to travel, have no kids, etc. even till they find the right guy, ...or whatever. What women do/have/choose isn't always just a reaction to what men did/do/had/have.

We also have a group of married friends that opted out of kids. So to each their own. As long as you are happy. Also we don't live extravagantly with gucci shoes and fancy trips. We do have two homes that we go to seasonally. We also give back to our community by volunteering with humane society. Our passion is welfare of animals and working with animals. Many kids and seniors benefit in their mental health with adopting and caring for pets. Not all of us are meant to be parents, nor should we feel we have to do it. Look at how screwed up society is. These are all good reasons to not have children. However unfortunately that's not (from what I've seen) the reasons why most women aren't, it's because hedonism comes first for them and there are certain cultural and mutual influences that encourage them to believe that men won't reject them for it later on in life (90% do). Society is at present being explicitly geared toward disrespecting the evolutionary needs of men, conflating them with something that is either "out of date" or somehow impinging on the liberty of women. The reality is those so-called retrograde values are the ONLY reason why we have the society we have today, it's all about male pride, entirely, without the preservation of male dignity in a civilized world instead of getting the advancement of civilization, we get mogadishu from blackhawk down. It's that simple, either men have their pride respected in some generally agreed upon way, or men will take it in a very violent and destructive manner irrespective of very much around them. And the reality is women could not do what men have done, and IMO not even when automation takes place will women be able to take the place of men, I see men perceiving the dangers posed by artificial intelligence, I do not see women doing the same, because women are too inclined to take shortcuts that result in authoritarianism and disaster. Men created the american constitution, the single greatest guarantor against tyranny that has ever existed, women could never conceive of such a thing because their nature is collectivist and innately denigrates the individual.

In the modern world, where women can equally earn and survive on their own, there is nothing much men can offer in relationship. I believe in the past, majority of marriages were survival for women, now they don't have to pretend and can afford to be honest with what they want, including stating that they don't want marriage and kids at all. Apart from that, men think that marriage and kids bring so much happiness for women, but in reality, it is a lot of burden. In the modern realities, it is hard to build up one's own life, and bringing and taking care of others is too much for many women. There are almost infinite options how to spend your life, far more things than could ever be done in a single lifetime, and while having children gives certain experiences that childless people will never get, the opposite is also true. It's a personal choice and everyone has different priorities!

Human beings who are able to neglect the instinct to give birth or raise children are most likely able to do so because of a psychosis. It's impossible to be truly happy about life if you neglect your instincts because they are in every way the greatest part of who you are and only an upset state of mind can be the cause of such "deliberate" decision. @@petneb Interesting perspective but I suppose to verify your theory you'd have to get into the mind of every individual who claims to not want children. Not totally sure what you mean by "truly happy" either - there is more than one way to be happy, and nobody is happy ALL the time. For me personally, maybe I could be convinced to have children if I had unlimited time and resources, but I do not, and there are other routes to happiness and fulfilment that I prioritise over having kids. Also, even if I did agree that not wanting children could only be a result of some kind of psychosis (I do not agree btw), then surely you agree that we all have mental issues to some degree (I sure as hell do 🤣). Issues that are often out of our control and that influence the way we think and see the world... but that still doesn't change the fact that many people genuinely do not want kids! ✌

@@kc6810To be fair, many men who talk about this are actually trying to look out for women. I’m hearing more and more of women who never intended to be single and childless as a goal, but end up as such due to the cultural push towards it. These women will live a life alone, filled with regrets about the life they wanted yet can no longer have. That’s why they’re talking about it. They don’t want women to be uninformed/misinformed about this really big decision. Most people, men and women, find the most satisfaction, purpose, and fulfillment in life with a loving partner and children. This is seen in both psychological studies as well as in neuroscience. Very very few men and women are actually fulfilled and find true purpose and meaning in their lives in the long run in their careers and friend groups alone. Something like 10% iirc. I could be a bit off on the %, but it’s around there. Women should 100% be free to choose, but they should be VERY well informed so they can make the best decision for their long term fulfillment, meaning, and purpose and not moment to moment happiness. That’s the reason it’s important. Also, population collapse is already happening, so that’s not great either lol. But that’s ancillary to the fact that you’re most likely to have the best life with a loving partner and children in a general sense.

It's just too much for a single human, that's it. And I do not know many women who do not recognize the value of friends and family and supporting groups. They just go to women and to their mothers for that support. The men on the other hand complain of loneliness as they trudge on along the self-destructing path of devaluing and dehumanazing women. Women aren't biologically built to handle being provider while being a nurturer. They did studies and found women that go through the same day to day activities as men have much higher levels of cortisol. I think it was six times the amount as men, and women were less fulfilled at the end of the day compared to the men. When a woman enters fight or flight, which is the daily stresses of work, it wreaks havoc on her body because it's not her intended biological duty. If it was women would've evolved to have the same physical composition as men through hormonal output.

Honestly? I think one of the biggest issues, which isn't talked about, is that we prepare our young people to be ready for careers, but not parenting. There was some real logic to home economics. Sure, you need lots of schooling and experience to be a doctor, architect, etc. But to be a mom, a good one, how much do you need to know? What level of preparation for that role do we as a society give women? Being a stay at home mom is a full time job. Yes, it used to be harder before lots of inventions freed up time, but easily the biggest challenge is dealing with the younguns. That will never be automated away, lol. Why aren't we preparing women for motherhood? Well, probably cause it would be called sexist

The basis of this convo is that women were not allowed to participate in the economy but were supposed to be the supporting structure for the men that do, now in a world that gives women freedom, they now have option just like the men. Statistically married men and single women are the happiest, women now have the option to not only chose their happiness but to define it whichever way they chose, just like men have been doing - married or unmarried. And they are not just buying Gucci shoes to impress people, they are also investing. Now women are more empowered to leave abusing relationships, empowered to have a mind of their own - this is the change our great grandmothers yearned for and we are here for it.

As a 35 year old man I could not imagine having kids right now. I'm just now starting to earn enough to build a life and future that isn't wage-slavery. The thought of losing all my income, suddenly being terrified of losing my job, having the threat of divorce and child support over my head for 18 years, it all sounds horrible. My parents weren't happy, my friend's parents weren't happy, they either divorced or had some weird awkward arrangement until the kids left. It's just been drilled into my head my whole life that marriage and children is bad news. I imagine a lot of the women my age experienced the same thing. Which creates an interesting question, outside of raising children, are men and women really that different? We all want success, money, and freedom to do enjoyable things without being someone else's bitch our whole life. Maybe we're discovering that reproduction is the only reason for gender roles.

As bad as this sounds. It also makes me remember the fact that most western countries (America in particular) have divorce rates around 50%. Many people get married for the wrong reasons and end having families with the wrong people. When you're pressured to be married and pump out babies before you're 25 for a lot of people that doesn't end well. Unless of course you're in some middle east or Asian country where divorce is either illegal or socially frowned upon, or you're in an arranged marriage where you don't have much of a choice.

Those middle Eastern and Asian countries are doing far far FAR better than the west when it comes to preserving marriage, family, and subsequently social structure. Its very typical of you to assume that these countries make divorce illegal or arranged marriage is the same as forced marriage When in reality the two are very different things. And btw, divorce is forbidden in roman catholicism, not in islam. And have you lived in those countries? Visited their homes? The West loves to pretend that countries that still value marriage MUST be trapped in unhappy marriages. You might be surprised to find that the majority of thode marriages are very happy and functional, because of a number of factors in terms of how relationships in the east work. We don't have sex before marriage, we keep it in the marriage. We value our religious teachings on marriage. 99.9 per cent of children are born into a married home with a mother and a father. Family structures are stronger. The elderly are not abandoned. Women are not used for hedonistic sexual pleasures then dumped and left traumatised. Eastern communities value COMMITMENT and FAMILY because of our strong religious values Alhumdillilah.

Women are expected to work full time, keep up on the cooking and cleaning and be the primary parent as far as spending time and raising children. The genders are pretty equal in the workplace but not in the home. For the most part those expectations have not caught up and we have a lot of men who were never taught to be equal partners in the home as well. Nobody wants to do all that because there is no room for self-care and enjoyment. Can we blame women? I certainly can not. Women have to make choices and think of their own financial security and well-being because many men are too stuck on traditional gender roles to have true equality. All men are expected to do is work and come home and women are expected to work, come home and take care of everything else. Until that changes I think this will only get worse. 1. Material (typically male) success is celebrated in society, so the world is programmed to view that as enviable. If we glorify mothers on billboards, in magazines and on the silver screen, culture will shift. 2. Some women may want children, but fail to find a suitable life partner/father. People can’t just click their finger and find a suitable partner/get pregnant. A lot of modern men are not financially, or emotionally suitable for fatherhood, although for some reason, plenty of women will have children with men who can’t, or won’t provide. From what I’ve seen, it’s most likely to be women who are vulnerable, and/or have a lower IQ. Intelligent women (and men) are highly selective when it comes to choosing a mate. 3. All men need to do to have a baby is orgasm, so it’s a much easier and even enjoyable prospect for men. For this reason, I’m not a feminist, because males and females could never be equal. As soon as pregnancy is an option, it makes total sense that the one who doesn’t bear the weight of pregnancy and breastfeeding would be the one who provides and protects. 4. As a former teacher, I know invested stay-at-home mothers raise top-performing children. I’ll defend and celebrate the role of mother and stay-at-home mum, because I know they generate better outcomes for children. Being a stay-at-home mum is a worthwhile life path if women choose the right mate.

1. It doesn't have to be on the screen. It can be a cultural shift by parents who teach it by living by it. All men need to do to have a baby isn't just orgasm. It requires commitment, hardwork, confidence, leadership etc...no man will just walk up to a woman and deposit his sperm in her. They always bring up divorce rates but never speak on when men marry within their social class they earn more money and are more likelier to get a promotion. The opposite is for women. Also being 30 and single is the best bet for sine women. It's not just about travel and having a expendable income it's of having the opportunity to rely on yourself, nurture your interests and not do things for the sake of doing things. The problem isn’t the choice, it’s the often bad information or lack of information that women use to make that choice. Choices are great. Choices made in ignorance are not. And most people, not just women, are making life long choices with very little information and very little thought about the consequences or what they actually will want for the rest of their life. For example; The choice to pursue continuous moments of happiness might sound like a great choice. Until you find out that, biologically, neuro-chemically, and psychologically, you are far more likely to find a better life through pursuit of meaning, purpose, and fulfillment. Where is the one place that almost all humans get the most amount of these feelings of meaning, purpose, and fulfillment? It’s most often from a good relationship with their spouse, and the children they bring into the world. That’s the data talking, not me. So when women make the decision to not have children, are ALL of them informed of things like this? Are ALL of them aware that waiting in til you’re 30/35/40 to try to find someone to be with or start having kids is a highly suboptimal situation to be in if that ends up becoming your goal? Have they though it through to when they’re 70 years old and have no one to take care of them, and no legacy to leave behind to go out and do great things after you’re gone? Something tells me plenty of them haven’t thought it all the way through. Most people, men and women both, seem to be not thinking all the way through their choices as of late.

It’s funny because a lot of times, it’s “childless” when men talk about it and “childfree” when women do. I think it’s easier for men to say they want to have children, because they don’t physically have them and women still do most of the work raising those children. I think a lot of women are able to see the disproportionate amount of responsibility they would have as a working mother. Raising children takes a lots of time and money in a meritocracy, and if women are out-earning men, she needs to get back to work. Also the US does nothing to support women having children - no maternity leave and outrageous health care and child care costs. It would be interesting to hear about how the economy or a woman’s economic position could influence her choice to have children. It's common for them to do part time work or small business while the man brings the majority of income. Most men WANT to be fathers and more than 70% if divorces are initiated by women and further removed from the home and family by the woman + courts. there are millions of men across the world denied access to their own children. Don't blame all men when you're the one who who rejected advances from good men and chased the "bad boy" and now are left alone with a child because of your poor decisions. Take accountibility. Why are so many men (and women) threatened by people who are childless and happy? What does it say about them that they cannot even allow for this idea? Could it be secret envy, fear of missing out? Because I rarely see the vitriol the other way around. If you're fulfilled in your trad life, why even attack others instead of letting them be? 😂 My man never wanted kids and I didn't necessarily either, although I was a bit less categorical about it. We've been together 20 years and don't regret a thing. Life is full of opportunities for love, friendship and connection in other ways. The fact that someone can't even fathom this because they have to spread their DNA at all cost speaks volumes about how small their world is.

Clown take. Women never have been the deciding party in regards to relationships; It's always been men. You are confusing women's gatekeeping of sex with men's gatekeeping of LTR/Marriage. The reason so many women are going to stay single; is because the crazies ruined it for everyone else. No man with 2 braincells to rub together would EVER enter into a legally binding financial contract with someone who is INCENTIVISED to break it. Even if every women WONT fleece you in family/divorce court, every single one COULD; And this isn't even accounting for the reality of the average women's promiscuity (gross) and universal divorce stats. Chivalry is dead, and women killed it. Invest in cat food stocks.

As a person in my late 40's I can speak to a time of life that comes up in the later 30's. The differences in ones life choices for both good and bad maximize over time. In the later 30's you come to an interesting cross section as enough time is now showing marked differences in life trajectories between you and your same age peers. And you start to do that math that says that you are 20-25 years out from that 65 retirement age. Depending on how one is fairing and ones personality as to how this is processed it can become a spot where one starts to experience physiological pain of regret as options are disappearing in a noticeable way. In ones 20's it is easy to think all things are possible. That changes the closer one gets to the deadline. What makes the idea of being single or married convoluted is that not all marriages work. The failure of this partnership can devastate both parties. There is risk in seeking this reward that can be somewhat mitigated in being careful in mate selection and participating in a community that promotes monogamy. However the most successful of people at that mid point of working years are going to be the ones who have successfully partnered up at a younger age. They will have had the best chances to build equity. A female in their late 30's who had good options to partner up long before then but decided not to is going to potentially have a long time to feel that regret especially if their dating life/ potential mate quality options have drastically changed.

I feel like one point that is missing in the discussion constantly is that to a young woman: being a 45-50 year old mother and wife can sometimes look like a shitty deal. Think about it: your children have grown up and left the nest so the main thing that got you out of bed everyday is gone, a lot of husbands at this point have been checked out of the relationship for a decade and a half (they have no capacity for emotional intimacy and would rather watch porn that have sex with a their wife), on top of all that, these women don’t really have any activities to fill their time because they spent their most productive years (20s and 30s) raising children rather than developing any skills or career. Being a mother can look like a thankless job that just leaves you taken for granted and bored. I want to emphasize that not all women are in this situation. Many women are happy with good husbands... but as a young women myself I’ve seen enough of the former situation to make me think long and hard about what I want to do with the next few years...

I follow your videos because I enjoy your perspective and points. Thank you for the conversations you bring to the table. "Chasing" success is not the only situation which has brought this on. I grew up in a broken home, on the streets with no one stepping up to care for me. My desire to SURVIVE, and not end up an addict, living in poverty, or living off the government is what pushed me to be where I am. "A successful woman with a career", as you are saying. I could have stayed in my abusive relationship with an addict as a teenager, got pregnant, lived on welfare and most likely could have ended up an addict myself, go to jail like so many I Know. But, I chose to better my life instead, and took on the mindset to THRIVE, not just survive. All the factors that have created this "scenario" of woman are not being discussed. I wanted more for my child, my life and future generations of my family. Many woman I speak with in similar scenarios are trying to break cycles as well and it is not so cut and dry the way you make it out to be. I am 39 now, and working to build myself a family, that which I have always wanted, but chose to take a more all around healthier (mentally, financially, etc.) approach to obtain. When you come from a place where you have no options, no arranged marriage to take care of you, an abusive or addicted world, it sometimes takes more "time" to get out of that, and step into a better a way of life. Not all of us are chasing success and the life of being single, I believe most are just responding to the societal issues that have played out amongst us over the past decades (absent or addicted parents, break down of family and villages, etc, and its not the 1950s anymore) It would be great if you talked to real life woman in this situation, not just the "educated" people who see numbers and statistics... too many factors for this conversation of what got us here, instead of what it is now, are not being discussed on this topic. Still though Chris! I much enjoy your videos, Thanks🙏

Totally agree, come from a broken home too, but still struggling to get to a financial phase where I do not need to survive. I agree completely, that would be great if that would be spoken also from several points of view. As you said, when you have no one to rely on from a young age and don't want to end up in a bad place, you need to fight yourself through life, and it's hard and not easy to arrive over there. What is equal all is on your own hands. It takes a lot of time, and even if I would love to have a husband, family etc. I know other things go first, what exactly means getting my life together to a more or less secure place (what is quite difficult as they just said, rent is high, and prices are rising on a lot of things, what doesn't really help) I would love to be stable in that way so that I can focus later on the other things that I always wanted. But life is not easy and the time flies. I don't chase being super successful in life, but of course I have dreams and rather rely on myself doing my own thing than working for a company. So if on the way success happens it will be welcome. Would love to have kids, but that train seems almost gone now, as I'm already 33. Want to have a family, but good luck on finding a partner that could be compatible. It's not easy finding somebody with who you can build a life, when what you're looking for is trust, connection and security. And I don't have any interest on alpha male, bad boys or their money. I don't need somebody to fix my problems or to safe me. But it is important for me to be able to trust that person, compatibility, somebody you can rely on and help each other with whatever struggles in life come. Somebody with who you can learn and grow, and also enjoy life. But mostly seen in the past years (speaking from a general point of view) is that most men rather have fun in life, and are just looking for sex. Then we got the egocentric one's (plenty of them) the one's that cheat, or lie, only have interest in their own needs and are superficial in relationships. Lots of them are immature on an emotional level. And what I have seen a lot lately, are men with no sense of responsibility and it doesn't seem that they care much about it. They don't take accountability on anything, they don't put effort on anything, they only demand and are lazy as hell. They just mess everything up, and then they act avoidant, and run away, or either play the victim and just act as kids. On both sides of this scenario they end up looking for no solution, don't take responsibility and don't fix or clean their mess, they are usually just waiting for somebody else to fix their problems. What is actually a behavior I have seen a lot in younger generations, and seems more a matter of not knowing how to deal with emotions, got no sense of handling their frustrations or know of to solve their problems. They're lost in life. We also got the type of guys that most of them are usually doing well in life and are nice guys but have lack of ambition in general. They live in comfy zone, are not curious or have much interest on anything, don't wanna learn anything new, they are just ok how they live and well that might be ok for a time, and as there is really nothing wrong on doing that...but for a relationship, that lack of wanting to learn things or to improve themselves, just to level up a bit, for me are the vibes of a person who would just be ok with whatever life gives or throws at them, no matter if its good or bad and that just doesn't give me a sense of security. For me, it's equal to somebody who doesn't chase or goes after for what they want in life. Then on the other hand we got the guys that could be more or less interesting, those who seem that they want to do something with their life, the guys that are conscious, the one's that work on themselves (on their mind, on their personality and so on) those are mostly all focused on their own career. Most of them don't want to have relationships. The rest or are already in a relationship or are the bad boys aka f*guys whatsoever. Seeing all that, it seems that baby train is almost gone for me. Because believing in being lucky to get to know somebody who looks for meaning in life, is not only self-centered, and whom you can trust, more than having hope I would say it's like dreaming and not being realistic.

You can still make it at 33. But you will have to choose which character traits are the most important, and be grateful for someone like that. Our world is so connected and loaded with information now, so many people to compare ourselves to. We are bombarded with how good everyone else has it. So what we have, it always feels like it's never enough. A capitalistic materialistic society. Each individual has to decide what is good enough for them, to decide what you really want. To be honest you can't be mad about women choosing a carreer, when high value men are on the decline. It is an evolutionary phenomenon. Men have to rise on their value to catch up. PS. To be fair, if women are supposedly outpacing men, why do I keep hearing about a wage gap? Why would a group that’s supposedly outearning another group still be talking about a wage gap? Something isn’t adding up there. That said, I don’t think it’s an issue of men needing to rise up and become better. Rather, I think the average woman’s standards have become too high, and in turn, they may not qualify for the men they want, hence they remain single. I hated that so much that as a child I told myself I would never rely on a man to take care of me. It would have been nice to have had guidance to have a different take away. Some of us are not into material things or money -- or children. It's not "Gucci shoes or babies" -- there is such a strong need in this community for oversimplification. Is it just too complicated for you to understand that I'm not interested in reproducing. Just not. That doesn't automatically mean -- anything else. It doesn't mean I'm materialistic. It doesn't mean I'm out to take over the corporate world. It doesn't mean I'm not feminine or a whole woman. It simply means, I don't want children as it's not for me. I'm a whole person. Women are human beings first and foremost and as such we each possess a unique set talents, hopes and dreams and most of all, interests. Interests that vary as widely as any other part of us. I doubt that Chris Williamson reads the comments, I could be wrong about that. 1. Many women are choosing to not have children because they have seen how so many, too many children that were wanted, loved, cared for, sacrificed for, grow into selfish, ungrateful adults who disregard their parents. 2. Pregnancy & bearing a child or children wreaks havoc on a woman's body. Often it messes up a woman's hormones, metabolism, hair, skin as well as weight gain which is hard to take off while breast feeding & taking care of an infant. A woman comes closer to death more so than any other time during the time she is birthing a baby. Many women actually DO die in childbirth. If men were the ones who could become pregnant, they would be far less willing to engage in casual sex. 3. Too many guys will spend time with a woman with sex as the goal, then, they move on. It leaves a woman feeling used, emotionally hurt or with a baby to take care of or even a disease. When she wanted to feel loved, not just f*cked, it's horrible feeling. With every guy that does this, it kindles, within her, more resentment, even hatred toward guys. Then, she eventually decides that it's no longer worth it to risk feeling hurt or used ever again. She gives up, decides to put her efforts into her career, traveling, living life on her own terms because it's better to live single & celibate than it is to be hurt over & over.
