Last year I made a video of me going back and reacting to 2000s Internet wrestling fans. Seeing what the forums looked like back in the day, what predictions they had, what they liked and what they didn't. It was such a fun experience and really showed how, not much has changed since then. Its been over a year since then, and now its finally time for Episode 2. This time we are going back even further, we are going back to the 90s, and we are finding all the crazy takes we can. This will now be a monthly series. Hope you all enjoy! Topics covered as Stone Cold sucks back in 1998, Sting should retire, WWE predictions for 2010 and Kurt Angle to TNA news.
Special thanks to the homie @TheNewMemes on Twitter for helping me find a few of the links

@@DADON99 Well let's see (eventhough I like Smackdown so far way more than Raw). But unfortunately Vince retired & passed his prime. For sure now wrestling will never be mainstream until it appeals to causal audience & also younger audience (also wrestling needs the next John Cena, the megastar in wrestling & it needs to be "cool" again). But another issue is a lot from Attitude & RA era (some from Golden era) can never be done today (and almost all of these are Vince's idea). The thing is I have no problem with PG rating as Smackdown has always been PG.
@gx1tar1er

@@DADON99 Just don't watch Raw since it's wrestling match based. Watch Smackdown as it focuses more on storyline, character, gimmick, charisma. That's why I like it way more & it's my taste + I grow up with it (I was into John Cena, not Kenny Omega & I didn't know who he was until 2020). You have like Roman Reigns, Logan Paul on Smackdown & they boost views.

Oh, yeah. I remember that. Everyone hated Goldberg and The Rock because they both only knew three moves. And don't forget about Kane's green and black DX attire. Who can forget the internet blowing up with rage when Stephanie McMahon was announced as the new owner of ECW? And back in 2002, everyone hated Raw for the same reasons today: ratings sucked, and they failed to make new stars. Glass ceiling. Blah blah blah. And everyone hated Brock until they saw that OVW clip of him doing a Shooting Star Press. That, plus his SummerSlam 2002 match against Rock changed everyone's mind.

Some things never change. Sadly, the IWC is one of those things. Like it's insane how some people are out here prophesizing jbl's rise and wholesomely reminiscing about wrestling when they were younger while there are also people saying in 99 jericho will never break out and that edge, jeff, and Matt hardy have horrible mic skills and will never be over (to which edge became one of the greatest of all time and one of the best mic workers of all time too, with Matt, Jeff, and chris remaining some of the most popular guys in the industry today). People moaning about cena immediately into his run, people doing it to Austin too, like it's ridiculous.
@michaelrivera8360

In case you don't know the IWC has always been workrate related and hate popular wrestlers so much so like you said tbe hated Austin and Rock because they were the most popular guys at the time and Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez after he started in 1995 he had to defend those guys because in wrestling everything is about drawing.The only ones that where in tune with business mostly where observer readers because Dave always said everything is about money.He from the start predicticted the rise of Cena,Rock,Austin.Still to this day the IWC hates popular wrestlers why do you think in online polls the top guys never win polls in favorites.

However one night, we were yacking about the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s of pro wrestling. It was cool. He was telling me all about it. I’m 21 and have been watching wrestling off and on throughout the years. In February we went to raw. So we were talking about it. It was all super cool! He was a very Genuine guy. Took a lot of new fresh pro wrestling viewpoints out of it.

I was born at the tail-end of the ruthless aggression era-2008. The wrestline I grew up with was this combination of the old and new; I loved veterans such as Triple H, John Cena, Randy Orton, the Undertaker, Kane, the Rock, Rey Mysterio, but one of my favorite wrestlers was CM Punk, who I wouldn't necessarily have considered a "veteran" around the early to mid 2010s. Also, the mid card had people like the Miz, Cesaro, Wade Barrett, etc., as well as setting the Shield up as one of the most dominant teams in the WWE at the time. And even then, I can say with confidence that the WWE has changed so much since the early to mid 2010s. People like Baron Corbin, Finn Balor, Rusev, Sami Zayn, and Kevin Owens came onto the scene from NXT, they tried to give Jinder Mahal a big push and I just thought he was a total jackass lmao (they did much better with Drew McIntyre), and so much was just crazy for the WWE. Then COVID hit and it felt like more changed in the time during and after COVID than the entire decade that preceded it. Now apparently Logan Paul, who was never even in the WWE in 2019 and early 2020 (around when I stopped watching it), is the US champion, the Usos split, Big E has a gimmick separate from the rest of the New Day, the Miz and R-Truth are back and now RAW tag team champions, with Austin Theory and (I forgot the name of his tag partner) are SmackDown tag team champions, Sami Zayn is now IC champion after winning it from this guy named "Gunther" whom I have very little recollection of, if any, among other things. The craziest thing to me, however, is that Roman Reigns was being pushed even harder than before, becoming the longest reigning WWE champion in the modern era. Not even the fact that Cody Rhodes came back in the most badass gimmick in the modern day imo and won the title from him, but simply the fact that Reigns was being so heavily pushed during this time. Oh yeah, and apparently Steve Austin came out of retirement to face Kevin Owens at one WrestleMania event, I do kinda want to watch that entire Road to WrestleMania and see where that panned from. Anyways yeah, I suppose some things change drastically, while others stay the damn same. I'm excited to start getting back into the WWE, and MITB next weekend will be the first PP- I mean "PLE" that I'll watch live after getting back into WWE

For those the people say at the time say that Austin couldn’t wrestle Before his neck injuries Look up His two Famous matches he had against Bret hart one from Survivor series 96 and The I Quit submission match at WM 13 which was a 5 star classic double turn that had never done in a wrestling business before and ya’ll telling me that Stone cold can’t wrestling come on now.

Don't forget his years as Stunning Steve Austin too, said himself he was a technician without much personality yet. The man could wrestle, smarks or whoever Don't know what they're talking about.

Yo pav, i'll love to see ur reaction to 100%lucha... It was an argentinian wrestling show wich, in 2006/2007, had more rating than wwe, there is a picture of Shane mcmahon and the 100%lucha staff because wwe wanted to Buy it... For us in argentina was the entry to wrestling and i'll love to see u watchin it cause u my fav wwe content creator... Much love broda
