I lived in Asmara, Eritrea for three years in the 60s. This makes me so sad. Asmara was a beautiful city and it is a UNESCO world heritage site.

Regarding on countries going down the path of hoarding wealth for the elite as you mentioned in the video, i think a good example of an exception would be Singapore, which had a president that consolidated power, but did policies that actually helped the economy, and arguably the common person
