it's why the director's cut sucks. Stay Alive has a strong cutoff in its TV edit, that tends to make scenes with it end strong. In the DC it's like, here's a dramatic moment with music playing, no we won't cut it off when silence would be more impactful lol.

This is unironically a masterpiece of a show. It's best for you to go into it absolutely blind. This is a staple top 10 anime of all time.

So Ed2 is sung by the VA of Emilia, and she actually sings a few op's and ed's as her characters from time to time. She is also known for playing Megumin (Konosuba). Fun fact, they did a collab anime called Isekai quartet which is a bunch of a publishers Isekai's all put into a single world together and had a running gag of Megumin and Emilia sounding similar. So I know the ed's for all Konosuba and Isekai quartet Ed's are sung by the VA's of the show. Most VA's in Japan are required to go through vocal training and singing is generally on the agenda. It's why VA's in Japan are so good because unlike English or other country VA's where it's mostly self taught, Japan has schools and programs dedicated to VA.

Welcome to my favorite show of all time. Some people wouldn't say so, but I like it. Some say Attack on Titan or Vinland Saga or whatever else show might be better story wise, and maybe you're right but there's something I like about this show way more than any other show. I love how the first opening is a perfect loop in how it starts and ends. The best part of the second opening is the end, where you can see the hands on her face, it's so creepy. The third opening is my favorite, if not because of the song, then because of the visuals. You can feel the emotions he's feeling. Not much to say about the 4th opening but there's a lot of spoilers lol. A lot of episodes in the second season didn't get an opening at all because of that very same reason, which means more anime for us per episode :D The first ending song is a classic. It fits the show so well in every way. The animation is good too. The second ending is so sad in it's meaning, it always brings me to tears. It's also sung by the voice actress of the white haired elf girl. Third ending also was a super perfect fit for that season. It sounds dark and ominous, just like the show is. 4th ending, just like the 2nd one is an emotional one, but instead of sad it's more hopeful and beautiful and happy. Brings me to tears in a totally different way and I love it just as much. My favorites are 3rd opening and 2nd ending. I'll not say anything about the plot, you'll get every answer you seek in episode 1. I hope you watch it.

When one would group all of a series's OPs and EDs into a single entry and rates them as a whole, Re: Zero is probably top 3 ever, out of around 500 anime series and movies I've watched. Especially now, after years and years of me growing to love them even more. Like, Overlord is one of the only other contenders I can think of at the moment, for "Best OPs & EDs."

The crazy thing is this anime has been going since 2016 and it's not finished yet. We're supposed to be getting the finale soon I believe. Or I don't know maybe we're not even close to finished but actually the book series or the manga I guess you could call it has been going on since I think 2012 it could be 2011 I'm not sure. Either way it is definitely one of the best animes out there hands down.

By all means watch the show. the THIRD SEASON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! starts this October and you'd be able to start it right after you finish s2. Ref the s2 openings/endings. That season was packed with so much *content* that most episodes skip the opening, the ending or both. Towards the end of the season the show even skips commercial breaks!

You asked why he is dying all the time? Well, that's because he is, he litterally dies so many times. The thing is, he has an ability which sets a checkpoint for him (Which he can't control) in someplace in the past. For example, when he was buying an apple from a random food vendor, that's now his checkpoint. Now, everytime he dies, he'll just come back to that checkpoint and be alive from that point with no physical damage... the mental though? Yeah, that stays. He will remember every single death and the pain of them, and i can tell you, they aren't painless
