woah! lucy guides! this is my fave guide, good choice! ^^ additional info for you: - LUCY got the title Blooming band because their association with flowers (they have many songs about flowers), youth, and spring. - if you notice the credits for their songs, there are a few names (other than our members' name) that showed up often. They are lucy sessionists & wonsang's producer gang (oyeon, younghoon, insun, eugene, jihwan). usually wonsang leads the team in producing & the others will help polishing the song and make it complete. lucy also still occasionally works with superband members as well. As fans often call it, LUCY is four and more! seeing lucy's credits are always fun, coz we know the people and we appreciate them just as much ^^ - Wonsang (& lucy producer team) composed & produced NCT's doyoung's solo Little Light and recently wrote for Red Velvet's Irene solo song as well. he's still actively producing for others outside of LUCY. - you should check out GIFT. i personally love their songs so much, but they're an indie band, so other than their music, i don't think you can find any content about them. LUCY & juhyuk (and other GIFT members) are still good friends even now. - speaking about bass, LUCY's bass is INSANE. the bass role in lucy went beyond being a rhythm instrument, lucy's bass became the foundation & does most of the fills in their songs. wonsang rarely plays the same bass lines in their performances, it's always a different lines & improv EVERYTIME. that man is not human. for your reference, bass usually has 4 strings, 5 strings if you're good enough & feeling fancy, but playing 6 is EXTREMELY rare. so wonsang with a 6-string bass as his main bass is crazy. it's like playing a violin with 5 strings (can you imagine). and not only that we recently discovered that he can also play 7(!!) strings. not only that, he his bass playing is very clean, very percise, even when playing in 200 bpm. senior bass players in korea all acknowledged wonsang as a genius, he's born to play bass. i'm sooo looking forward to your LUCY journey! if you're going to react to each albums, they usually have a commentary videos about their creative process, why they did this in their song, why the lytics are this way, etc. if you'd like, you can also watch those to complete the experience and see just how much of a geniuses lucy are! every details have intentions & meanings, it always blows my mind.
