Mushoku Tensei doesn't have Opening visuals and the openings usually played in the background to help with the world building at the start of each episode. By the way, the opening song you listened to is OP1, but it sounds like someone was playing the piano over the song so it doesn't sound as good. You can check out Opening 2 and 3 at least for the songs.

I just wanna tell you that Mushoku Tensei doesn't have an opening music video, they put a scenery of a current place (in the story) instead, and I think that's pretty creative

Saiyuki is one of my favorite anime, and man the story is good. Heavily inspired by the Journey to the West, from which the character of Son Goku has origin, a story of many asian cultures, especially japanese and chinese.. that finds inspiration in the journey of Xuanzang. (And yeah, Dragon Ball also took inspiration from the creation of Goku, both in Dragon Ball and Saiyuki the protagonists have a Bo Staff which the monkey in Journey to the West used, and in all three stories the staff can grow longer)

Eyyy monster (my pfp is Johan, a character from the show). It truly is one of the best psychological anime out there. Realism, history and a detailed portrayal of a twisted mind.

After watching AnoHana, the songs become an emotional trigger. That show hits hard in the feels. If you don't mind me spoiling the premise... Yes, it is about old friends reconnecting after a number of years, but they're all connected in mourning the death Menma, who died when they were just kids. The ghost of the girl is an active part of the story.

Clicked on this for Saiyuki! That series is such a classic. I absolutely loved the anime and manga of it back when I was in high school (2004 - 2008). Others have already talked about the Journey to the West and Son Goku elements, though it should be noted that all of the characters in Saiyuki are based on characters from that story. Outside of that, another interesting thing about the Saiyuki series (more so the manga) is how it changed demographics. The OP that you reacted to in this video was for Saiyuki. The manga for Saiyuki ran in a shonen magazine, so its target demographic was young boys. Later continuation manga of Saiyuki, like Saiyuki Reload, were published in josei magazines, so its target demographic was adult women. It's an interesting shift, but one that makes a lot of sense to me, lol. Anyway, the series touches on a lot of Buddhist ideologies, gods and goddesses, and so forth. The series can get a bit dark, as you properly guessed, but there is still a lot of humor in Saiyuki too. It's a fun ride type of series.

The mushoku tensei op doesn't really have any visuals in that way so the dude probably just took clips from the anime over the music. In the anime the music just plays over what is currently going on in the anime. So it's mostly just landscape shots montage with the main cast just goofing around basicly

Saiyuki takes place in China actually. It's based on a very famous story(Journey to the west), and has pretty major Buddhism themes about demons and gods. Also, the anime's a riot if you ever need a good laugh

Monster endings are also worth a reaction , I personally like them more than the openings. Its such a great show ,best psychological show according to me. Also once again a great reaction.

Yeah Mushoku Tensei only has fan opening visuals, but in my opinion it looks pretty good for a fan opening. This is my favorite anime of all time and its really immersive, it started the whole trend of isekai. It's also set to be a long running anime (100+ episodes) or so I've heard. I've also heard that the studio that makes the show was created specifically for this anime. All the other opening songs are great too, my favorite is part 2 opening 2 (opening 4). The songs also really mix in with what's happening. This anime really is on another level, and it's a shame it's not one of the biggest (In terms of being known). I mean I have never seen anyone dislike it after watching it.

If they adapted the whole thing and depending on the pacing it'll be around 100-120 episodes... Of course, that's just the main series. (There are side stories that are worth a full season combined.)

Ano Hana is about a group of friends who became distant after their childhood friend tragically passed away in an accident. Several years later, Menma (the girl that died) comes back to haunt Jintan (boy in the red shirt)…well, I say haunt, but she more or less wants her friends to come back together. However, only Jintan can see and hear her, so it pretty much falls on Jintan’s shoulders to try and bring them together. It’s a really, REALLY emotional anime and I actually think the show has one of, if not, the best climaxes in any anime I’ve ever seen (and I’ve watched more than 500 anime).

Trivia: San Guo Yan Yi is the Chinese novel, in english its known as Three Romance Kingdoms. In japanese, the name for this is Sengoku, however Japan has their own version of Sengoku based on their own history, not China's. If you see the name Saiyuki (Sai Yoo Kee), this is from the Chinese name Xi You Ji (Shee Yoh Jee), this is The Journey to the West, which is where you may have heard of the character named Monkey King, also known by his name Sun Wu-Kong. The Dragonball Z character Goku, his name is from WuKong.

Monster is very good! It took me a bit to get used to the art style, but the storytelling is great!! Guts from Berserk looks very rugged for a good reason. He was born from his mother's corpse that was hanging in a tree. His whole life is just rough. Ah, you watched the first Saiyuki opening! It's such a classic. X3 Nope, those are demons, not elves. Anohana, look at the translation of the full title, then rewatch the opening. Both the opening and ending are heartbreaking to someone who watched the whole thing... The ending makes fans cry just from the music because it's played at the climax of the story and its most bittersweet moment.

7 Seeds is about groups of individuals that were locked in a time capsule while the world was ending. When they wake up, they find themselves in a world that is drastically different to what they remember. Tasked to survive in this new world, to continue the human species these individuals are forced to survive and meet the other groups along the way. This is a shoujo, so if you're fine with some shoujo tropes it's a pretty good show. But it only has two seasons and the story is FAR from over. It's also pretty dark, so hey if you like dark, you'll like this show. But also Monster, my favourite anime of all time, love all of Naoki Urasawa's works.

A few trivia. - Monster is regarded as one of the best psychological,if not the best, anime out there. It really poses some serious questions out there. - Berserk anime adaptation is a mess. The older series as well as the movies had way better animation than what the 2016 adaptation had. - Mushoku Tensei's novel is the grandfather of isekai since most of the tropes and cliches originared from this one. The recent anime adaptation is really clean and respects the source material. Also, a second season is in production currently.

The TV run of Berserk was chaotic but people forget that the studios do touch ups (re-master) on the Blu-Ray releases afterwards . Can't say just because the CG , the movies had it as well . But i get it , when the studio was ready to film the episodes the CG models where altered somehow and they had no time to make new ones . But they showed in their show after Berserk (Fist of the Blue Sky) how good it would have looked . CG is a lesser evil in the industry, but better than the animators working themselves to death . If you want examples of great CG Ufotable and Studio Orange are masters at their craft .

If you're up for a few more reactions, I really would like you to react to the opening of a show called Serial Experiments Lain. It's a very old show and to this day probably one of the most confusing, enigmatic animes ever. Plus the opening is done by a British band and in English for a change! Other than that, the second opening of Vinland Saga is great, the second opening of Konosuba (Gods Blessing on this wonderful World) is even better than the first because it tells a little story that shows you exactly what to expect from the show. Also someone else mentioned it already in the comments: The opening of Gangsta is something else! I've just watched almost your entire opening reaction playlist, keep up the great work! 👍

I like the story of the newer berserk anime seasons, but it trashed on the manga. The animations is attrocious though, however I've never really cared about that, so didn't affect me as much as it did others (also herard the mdoel files got corrupted or something which f-ed up their look, so give them lenience on that). For me, the show was okay, could've been way better, and was a disservice to the source material. Give it probably a 5-6/10
