As a Dutchman I can tell you, Liverpool will be happy with Slot....he's a very down to earth guy, the media won't be able to get to him....at least...I expect him to not let them get to him. He's not like Ter Hag who wants players to just perform a tactical task instead of playing football. His strength is his calm character and he can make players better while even not getting on their nerves.....he's not behaving like he invented football and players will feel good with Slot as their manager. Still, in football ye never know.......

Ten Hag had a lot of money to spend during his time at Ajax. Slot had almost nothing to spend at Feyenoord! Had to make do with loan players and cheap players. At Feyenoord, many players have made great strides in their development because of him. When he came to Feyenoord, Feyenoord played bad football and pressure was never applied, no one could do that! When Slot became a coach, everyone thought he would need a few years to get his game started. But from day 1 with almost no budget, he immediately did well and also reached the conference league final that year. He also ensured that all players increased in value. A player he bought for 450k became Sold after 1 season for 17m. And so more players were sold after 1 season for a lot of money (for Feyenoord). In the 2nd season there were only 3 or 4 players left from the first season and due to financial mismanagement in the years before the end, only a very small part of the money that came in could be spent. With the players who bought, rented and came to Feyenoord on a transfer-free basis, he still became champion and reached the quarter-finals of the Europa League! In the 3 years that he was a trainer, he completely 'changed' Feyenoord. There is now a top sporting climate and the game has never been as good as it has been in the past 3 years! He likes to press high and win the ball as high as possible on the field. But also building up from behind with many passes, luring the opponent and then moving to the goal in quick combinations. If the players listen to him and give everything for the club (Liverpool) then I am sure you will experience great times under Arne Slot

Watched a video today released on the Feyenoord channel about Slot, and he seems to have a good head on his shoulders. Interesting to see what he can do on a larger budget and in a tougher league.

The only time I can recall the media's opinion of the Liverpool manager having a negative impact on the club wasn't when they were laying into our boss, it was when they were desperately looking to blame anyone apart from Roy Hodgson for us being useless. The defense of Liverpool has been SO poor in part because they have so many 10's trying to play as an 8 and the midfield is playing so high up it's easy to play through. If he does better then that by all means I’ll be happy and look at him as a really good successor BUT for his first season he just needs to like what you said maintain what Klopp has set up and then he can kick start from there.

Difference is Slot has a tactical identity and clearly cares about the game. Ten hag shows up spends what he wants, throws 11 men on the pitch often out of position and he gives them no tactical direction whatsoever, it’s just a free for all of embarrassing losses and games won by individual brilliance by players, I truly believe the man is less tactically efficient than Sam Allardyce.
