With any kind of head/neck injury the most important thing is to move their head as little as possible. If there is a serious neck injury like a broken vertebrae, any movement could potentially damage the spinal cord which can cause paralysis or death. This is pretty rare to actually happen but whenever a guy has that kind of injury you generally see trainers use an abundance of caution.
@zCrabOG4 жыл бұрын
Furthermore, when someone had a head trauma you want to put them on their side in case they lose consciousness. Because when that happens, and they are lying on their back, they can choke on their tongue.

Yeah, the vertebrae protect the spinal cord, so imagine jagged pieces of vertebrae floating around from a broken neck - one of those slashes the spinal cord and it's paralysis

If I was an MLB pitcher and he shuffled on me I’d put a 100 mph fastball in his ear. And I’m a mariners fan, they play once a decade, no beef with the nationals but his cocky bullshit is stupid. Prove your point with your bat, no reason to a cocky 5 year old. That’s little league shit

I am a Phillies fan, but I’m not biased against division rivals. I love Acuña, for example. But Soto is a p****. He’s a cocky piece of crap. I’m all for showboating after a HR or strikeout. Key word: AFTER. He’s a little kid and the Soto shuffle is childish and freakin weird. Stop grabbing your junk and showing up some of baseball’s best pitchers. He has zero respect for Cole, DeGrom etc. If you hit a bomb, go ahead. But stop doing the stupid shuffle in the batter’s box. Hate him.

A lot of the "junk grabbing" has to do with the fact that in baseball most players wear a protective cup to protect the crown jewels lmao they're not the most comfortable so you have to adjust it quite often. And at a certain point it just becomes a habit where you do it without even thinking. For Soto it's probably mostly habit on top of the fact that he's a pretty charismatic weird dude. Most players do it but with a lot more subtlety lol

The first collision is all the catcher's fault. He broke the rules. He blocked the plate before having the ball and the throw wasn't taking him there. Marisnick definitely should've taken him out. And no, running into the catcher is not against the rules now. People don't understand the rule that was put in a few years ago. The rule is that the catcher can't block the plate without the ball, in order to avoid collisions, not that the runner can't run into the catcher if the catcher is blocking the plate. The runner is under no obligation to give himself away freely.
