Thank you for this video! As a member of the LGBT community who also HATES bryanstars this video is one of the best things I've seen in a long time. Bryan is dying and he wants attention. That's what that is, of course I think it's good he's being true to himself, but this timing is just for attention. Also another thing is talking about the whole "special treatment" thing. I think homophobic should be seen as discrimination against them more so because that's what's wrong is when people hate people for their choices, not that they don't agree with them. In my opinion, it doesn't matter if you're gay, straight, or bi, if you're a bad person, that doesn't change anything. If he did come out and do this for views, I feel that it makes the people who actually come out and have held this in for ages and just want to be themselves, feel less genuine. Now, dealing with the whole "special treatment" issue. Being a member of the lgbt community myself, I really don't like it when people will act like the people who are in the community need to be put up on some kind of pedestal. Most of the time, all these people would like to do is be treated equally and the same as any other person. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community personally, his coming out saddens me. As you said, it does take a lot to come out to people, but it doesn't change his terrible personality. Just because you are a part of this incredible community doesn't mean you automatically should be forgiven if you have a genuinely trashy personality. I, as a gay person, agree and feel like he is trying to benefit off of being gay. His timing was too convenient and I feel like he was saving this information until his channel was declining in order to boost his views again. If you want to come out on a public platform, thats fine, but it irritates me to no end when people try to market themselves as being LGBT, like it should not be that big of a deal. An example of this was when Joey Graceffa financially profited off of coming out when he literally created and sold a song to go with his coming out video. In my opinion, if you wish to come out on a public platform, do it casually like Alexis G. Zall and casually slip it into a video. I have mad respect for her for doing this. Yes being LGBT is a part of who someone is but it in no way defines them. Making an entire video on coming out, unless there is a much larger picture (connor franta always claimed to be straight, etc) then it is almost like making a video on how the color of your eyes are brown.
