You need to watch the videos from Convos with Carter, a young black man who breaks down the "turnovers" on film. You'll be surprised how many are fumbles by her teammates, especially on fast break passes.

Liked and Subscribed. Love your commentary. Only just got back into WNBA cause of CC but have really enjoyed also watching Arike as well as Jewell Lloyd. As for CC's turnovers, I think both sides take it a little too far. I would guess maybe 25%-30% of all of her turnovers were her teammates not catching passes that were catchable and it has gotten a lot better over the last 4 or 5 games. I would say another 25%-30% of her turnovers are routine passes that she can be lazy with at times. But the overwhelming majority of her turnovers are due to her being blitzed and trapped more times than any other team combined. Some of that could be argued that her teammates have not been great at coming to her to help when she gets in trouble but we'll see if that gets better after the break. She is also the primary ball handler almost the entire game so more opportunities to have turnovers. She'll figure it out and just to compare, this game she had 19 assists to 6 turnovers, so still a +13. I will take that.

It was in the beginning. Boston talked about how she thought a pass was impossible or CC didn't see her and suddenly the ball was bouncing off her chest or hands. Then they just started realizing they had to keep their hands ready and now is when she is flirting with much bigger assist numbers. PLUS they are all running and it is fun to see. Boston and Mitchell both talk about this that they know they will be rewarded! Sometimes lights out like a freakin' rocket now! vid from the first 10 games vs the last 10 ae so different!

First, I love your show, you crack me up and you break down things quite nicely. But you must admit, Dallas has a horrible defense. Their D was bad. They barely got back on D, players wide open under the hoop, no one making entry passes more difficult to make. Hey, 19 assists is 19 assists, but geez Dallas....play some D next game, no matter who you play.

That pass was one sample but still Mitchell knew it was coming and stood there. It’s not all her turnovers maybe 30 or so Mitchell and Smith the worse ones. Smith is the one who blows a bunch in this game not all in this highlight. Arike was 8-21 and I think Odyssey was 10-17 they just hit some crazy shots.

Maybe it’s because AR is 6’3 which is taller than the average wnba forward height at 6’2 and 1 inch shorter than the average center height at 6’4. I mean it would be disappointing if she doesn’t get rebounds vs shorter forwards and slower centers

Not for passing the ball, for assists, which means it's a pass that leads to a score. That's a whole different thing. A rebound may or may not lead to points scored. When you combine scores assisted and scores made, she's making a large contribution. I mean, what if they only counted rebounds that lead directly to a score? And, BTW, claiming it's 10x more difficult than making assist passes is stretching things a LOT as well. If it was that easy, you'd have to explain why 19 assists in a game is a record.
