Aussies seem to do the crime and horror movies pretty well. I can strongly recommend 'Romper Stomper', starring a young Russell Crowe as a vicious skinhead. And, more recently, an excellent series called "Mr. Inbetween" which depicts the domestic home life and "professional" life of an Australian criminal. I have no idea how this series flew under the radar in the States. It has an 8.7 rating on IMDb and has three seasons.

Mark was a master of public image. He knew that we knew the legend of "Chopper". He was definitely a dangerous individual as his arrest record shows. Prone to extreme violence but he had a "personal code". His targets were always people within criminality, he never targeted "civilians". He was a true psychopath in the sense that there was a logical code to his actions. Like all psychopaths, he was also very creative in his story of himself, ie, he was a Champion bull-shitter, but he knew if he sold a story, we'd buy it. We have little idea of his crimes but he was probably responsible for more than he ever got tagged for. Read is one of the cases where the bollocks he concocted is probably less interesting than the truth. And that we shall never know.

Hey Dawn, as an Aussie. 🇦🇺 I strongly suggest you watch the real Chopper in an interview with a Renee Brack. It’s early 90’s It gives you a glance about him in real life, roughly the time of ‘older chopper’ in the movie was depicted (which 39 wasn’t that old lol ). Just make sure you watch the whole interview/show with him to the end. Eric Bana did an amazing job. You may not recognise Eric 🇦🇺 in this movie, as he had to gain quite a bit of weight to play Mark Chopper Read. But you’ll know him from other movies internationally. Great Aussie actor. If you didn’t see the whole movie, not just main parts I really recommend in doing so as well, it’ll all make sense I promise 😊

I think she even said to him, try to concentrate so I can do this properly. I not seen it since it went to air sometimes in late 1990's I guess. I think her tv career went downhill after that.
