REACTING TO CROATIA'S EUROVISION PERFORMANCE

for me that semi final wasn't a competition it was Baby Lasagna concert I loved that performance that was harmonious with all the different elements of the stage and the neon colours and the outfits I loved it his vocals evem improved compared to the national performance and my gosh the interaction he got with the audience when they shouted "WOOOOOOOOHHHHH" and danced with him that was incredible I think at the grand final the televotes will go crazy about him

It's not the same as Käärijä. About the "televote will go crazy" there are many other televote bombs like what Ireland seems to be right now, and you can't forget Netherlands or even Finland. The Juries will not give them enough support therefore it won't win and Switzerland will probably get enough points from both Jury and Televote to win the whole contest. So yeah I just can't see it winning

@@amazingbluelobster I didn't say it will win and why are you comparing it to Kaarija and the others of course in the televotes there will be other scores who'll be crazier than the others I was just telling that his points will be really really high from the public looking at the interactions he got with the audience if he wins or not that doesn't matter he won our hearts for sure that's the biggest victory for a Eurovision contestant

@@tetama2agani You can't deny the similarities between him and Käärijä, I'm not saying it's a straight copy but you simply can't deny the similarities, and I'm sure Baby Lasagna won't win as many people's hearts as Käärijä did, but you are right that success beyond Eurovision is better than winning

I wouldn't agree with you. As you said, his vocal is great, as it should be for this kind of song. Staging is great. His energy is just crazy, song is deep but fun... and the most important, people love it. Not just love it after couple of listening but it is love on first hearing. Definitely not everyone fav but it is there...and those people will give some votes as well. So, I could see this winning and it will be only justly. He is pure talent in every aspect. Only one who wrote the song, music, mixed and perform. That been said... even if he not win, He is a winner!

You have to remember that many viewers will be watching only the final so they hear the songs for the first time and this song is catchy from the beginning. However considering what happened last year with Kaariya not winning even if he was by far the the televote favorite I couldn't be sure. I am hoping for it. Croatia has never won I think it's their year this time.

I am glad that you are finally acknowledging existance of Croatian entry. I think that people love this entry because it is not pretentious, it is not trying heavy to click every box in EBU PC cookbook - it is not talking about peace, women’s right, transgender issues, not hitting a whistle note. It is just a song made to engage the audience and create a good feeling. Maybe it is time for something different to win Eurovision.

Dead? The dance? My dear brother, go to that part and look at the audience! You didn't even pay attention to the performance.... Oh and the word you were looking for is "campy" or "unpolished", while the other favorites sound more contemporary. But here's the thing, tatoo isn't the best, most original song ever either - but Loreen was teh ingredient that elevated it. Same thing with Kaarija. None of the songs this year sound timeless or a something hella amazing except maybe Ukraine and definitely Greece, but Ukraine won recently and cannot host, while Marina got sick today. Ireland is iconic, but the tarns flag lost her way to many points and the NB declaration lost her even more. So this is why I think Croatia may win. Nemo will probably drop in votes due to the NB announcements. Also Croatia is authentic. Probably the only authentic performance on the whole stage. Everyone else has the countries biggets pro's while Croatia has a bunch of village kids with no clue and all the passion and hard work, doing their best (costumes, stage direction, visuals...) with every aspect of the performance. And people LOVE THAT. Oh shit, I forgot about Netherlands and Italy. Netherlands Imho, will be top 7 or 5, but wont work that well live + will become a hit like Rosa Lin nevertheless. Italy will win Jury and due to it is the only possible winner besides Croatia. P.S. Windows95man is better than Kaarija - shoot me.

Netherlands has no chance for win after people saw rehersal. It's dropping in the odds without stopping and comments on performance are not positive. Switzerland, just like Ireland, is a bit much for a lot of prople, and it won't win juries with France there. Ukraine realistcaly can not get enough combine votes to be a contender for top 3 on staging alone, let alone first place. Both juries and public have better songs to give their high points to. Italy is the only one who can do that but it must be inside top 3 from both public and juries to win. If Croatia gets at least 4 place with judges, which it might since both Käärijä (there's no Loreen this year) and Måneskin were 4th with them and it's already charting around Europe (22 place in UK on itunes charts at the moment), he is the winner.
