@@nicholashaan7345 To explain in extra detail, it originated as the “It’s Morbin’ Time!” memes, which in themselves were a Morbius-themed parody of catchphrases like the Power Rangers’ “It’s Morphin’ Time!”. Basically, people on the internet decided to mock how uninterested they were in Morbius, by sarcastically hyping it up as the most amazing and anticipated movie ever. This included people making up scenes to fanboy over, which could not be disproven since nobody saw the film. A meme in which the titular character says “It’s Morbin’ Time!” and “morbs” all over his enemies particularly caught on. And people soon made alterations of that meme to poke fun at other bad/dull/polarizing media.

I just looked into a TV TROPES article about The Truth About Killer Dinosaurs. The Artistic License - Paleontology section mentions that the Triceratops skull test had some minor issues. Triceratops would've had a lot of strengthening tissue supporting the skull, meaning its skull wouldn't break. Besides, Triceratops wouldn't be fast enough to charge at another animal and break its skull. Though I actually still agree with some of the facts about Triceratops in that documentary.

I've had a couple young people come up to me in the museum I work at a few days ago ask be how credible this documentary actually was. When I saw the show, I nearly cried. I've been a paleontologist for nearly 20 years (15 years professional, 5 years studying.). In this documentary, they contradict the creatures in it so horribly wrong, when they get a fact right (which is rare), it is hard to believe them. Hell, they even use ark models of pteranadon, stegosaurus, and titanosaur, which are not public use and is not exactly "good" for the show writers. This makes wildcard liable to take legal action against (channel 5 I think?). I sincerely hope that a new documentary comes out to educate people correctly, so I don't have to argue with ignorant people that diplodocus was not 30-40 tones, and that allosaurus was not 15 tones

Woa, ok, you do not look anything like what I imagined haha. Wish you a speedy recovery! OMG this looks like they made it in 2007 and only releasing it now. What I do like so, besides Stephen Fry being in it, is that they put him next to the Dinosaurs, so that you can kinda see how big they were in comparison to a human. That's where Prehistoric Planet failed in some scenes, in my opinion. Like putting the Dreadnoughtus in the middle of the desert with no reverence points, they could have been ant sized in that scene for all I saw. The Allosaurus is sooooo bad. They gave it the typical 1990s carnivorous Dinosaur box head, while in reality it's head was much narrower in front view. And this muscle skull thing is even worse. The crocodile like teeth, the space between them, and the short stubby skull. Like how do you show the real narrow skull, and then make the animation and be like "yeah that is nice". Surprised they didn't give it the JP wrist treatment. But I do get comparing everything to T. rex, tho. It is not only well known by most people, it is also a model organism, so comparing other big carnivores to it makes kinda sense.

I don't really mind calling dinosaurs monsters if we call animals like sharks, crocodiles, and hippos monsters, to be honest.
@jacobcox4565
@jacobcox4565 Жыл бұрын
The thing is we shouldn't call any animal a monster. Even sharks, hippos, and crocodiles aren't monsters. Yes, they do violent things, but that doesn't make them any more of monsters than any other animal.

@@jacobcox4565 Monster can refer to size too. I mean, someone can say "That is a monster sandwich!" And nobody would think the sandwich was evil.
@jacobcox4565
@jacobcox4565 Жыл бұрын
@@at-rexontheinternet1388 Yeah, but when you apply that word to animals, it makes people think they're evil. If I said wolves are monsters, people would think they're vicious creatures that kill everything they see. Movies like Jaws and The Beast are perfect examples of portraying animals as monsters.

This was a awesome way to spend my day ahahaha. I love seeing new dino content from your channel. Always wanted to ask since it's very "kinda" dino related since he was created from one, you like Godzilla? Btw yes the stego was a stolen art concept from ark. I literally was saying that right before you mentioned it in your video to my wife hahahaha

Even if we assume that the lower jaw don't matter and that the skull of Allosaurus could withstand the force of the blow, he can use his upper jaw like a meatcleaver. Okay, and? We use meatcleavers to cut through something like a bone that is perfectly still, or kill something with a violent blow to the head, that's not useful against a thirty tons Diplodocus ^^' Unless you can open his skull with a violent blow, but like, if you can grab his skull with a bit, you can kill it too, there's no real advantage there ^^' EDIT: Okay, they tested it against a watermelon, nevermind, that's totally a valid strategy :p I guess if Allosaurus hunted watermelons and lettuces, he could used that XD

There's another show airing on BBC called Secrets of the Jurassic Dinosaurs. It's a 2 part miniseries that literally airs right after this. It focuses on palaeontologist excavating and studying the many dinosaurs found in a mile long stretch in the Morrison Formation. Since its focused on the palaeontologists you don't see the dinosaurs very much, but it's a 1000 times better than this.

I'd rather see a documentary just on excavating dinosaur fossils than 1 hour of the same monster roar on repeat and different dinos biting each other over and over and over.
