Agree with Lisa here, as a Kaz main you should be sidewalking his 50/50 left, but if he does cdnf2 in heat it tracks and the timing is the same as cdnf3. Most players don't know that ff2 gets more tracking in heat, so cdn2 increases it to the point its not worth trying to do that when Kaz is in heat. This plus his tracking low heat smash make his heat 50/50 machine which is why people call this game gambling 8. Tracking should exist only on homing moves, the remaining moves should only track the good side of the character and maybe one move should track the weak side. Also teching in this game is unbelievable, there's moves that legit have 0 tracking in neutral, but during the opponent teching animation they are essentially homing. (One example is heihachi cdn3 or one common example is drag sneak 4 which is sidewalkable right if done with the correct timing, but impossible to avoid right after a tech)

If only homing moves tracked to both sides, the game's balance would be severely affected. Characters that rely on non-homing moves for pressure or mix-ups would struggle significantly, making them much weaker. On the other hand, characters with strong homing moves would gain an unfair advantage.

@ArasakaDavid I'm sure you're right, but i'm also so sure it doesn't make sense that half the roster pressure game doesn't even consider using homing moves because of how insane those tools track. Legit there's characters that don't use homings at all. Gonna give you a small example, look at Jin. He essentially never uses homings, aside from magic 4 which he never uses to track, but to fish for CH. His strings are weak left, while his 50/50s are weak to the right, although he got few options that track differently, making you question where to move all the time, or if you wanna move at all. And on top of this, even if you got the read correctly, hellsweep is almost impossible to sidewalk right if your character has average sidesteps, and ff2 obviously tracks altogether with EWHF because of the crouchdash nature.

One things I've noticed is that the netcode makes breaking 1+2 throws difficult. It will register a 1 input one frame before the 2 input, so it counts it as you trying to break with 1 instead of 1+2. Offline (and even in replay) it won't do this, and if you use a macro for 1+2 it won't do this, but I wish they fixed it.
