A topic suggestion for a future episode. I worked in HR and I always hear about someone putting 8% of their income into their 401k and the company matches 6%, so they think they are putting in 14%, but that’s not always true. In almost every case the devil is in the details. Some companies only match a % of what the employee contributes, and in many cases, the company contribution is capped at a certain amount. Many folks hear a company contribution %, but don’t look at the details. This would be an important topic to discuss.

Airlines can fix overhead bin space by simply ensuring every person only puts one item in the overheads. The rules say one up there and a handbag or computer bag at your feet, but then 50% of people seem to bring on a bag of duty free and put huge handbags up their too. So if someone struggles, the air hostess should just go through nearby bags in the overheads say "whose is this?" and if anyone answers twice, they get that item either checked in the hold or put at their feet. Easy...
@rbgz246 Жыл бұрын
I agree, that and ensuring any luggage over height/size requirements must be checked. Everytime I go on a plane I see this is why there's no room for peoples overhead and why everyone is pushy to get on the plane first
@adbbbbbbbbbbb11 ай бұрын
I want my laptop bag in the overhead. All overhead space should not be for people’s big bags. I check a bag and should be able to use that space as well to keep my foot area clear.
@andyjeffries11 ай бұрын
@@adbbbbbbbbbbb I have no issue with your one cabin bag being that, if you checked everything else. What I hate is people that bring a bag for the overhead bin, a laptop bag, a handbag, a duty free bag and then wonder why someone else can’t put their one bag overhead. It’s simply not fair to everyone else.
@chuckannd60343 күн бұрын
I've been on Delta flights where the flight attendants did exactly that. There should always be enough overhead bin space for carry-on suitcases but ppl put other stuff up there & hog the space.

Random factoid since they brought up The lime drink being called lemonade. In Spanish there's only one word for both limes and lemons and it might be because when limes are ripe they are also yellow and sweeter. So The Spanish equivalent word of lemonade would be the same whether it was made with lemons or limes.

Your emergency fund is too bridge your finances in an emergency. An overly large emergency fund often means you're not putting enough towards other goals.
@graceblessings7548 Жыл бұрын
You want to do expenses because in case of an emergency you would have all your expenses covered while you get some stability back. And the 3-6 months is to help with any variability in your income. Such as income, 1 income household or 2 income household, and type of job. Some jobs provide more of a consistent income vs others may vary more month to month.
@TH0KH Жыл бұрын
Your income should be more than your expenses. Savings and investments aren't expenses, so that SHOULD be 20%ish less right there if you get laid off. Most people have other expenses that they could cut or wouldn't exist when unemployed (gas, childcare, takeout, subscriptions etc). You might also get unemployment or severence payments, which can make 3m stretch to 4 or 5 or more. You also don't want a ton of money sitting around doing nothing, so it's not ideal to have more than you actually need in a 4% interest savings account instead of investments that average 10.

I think that you should set some guide lines what the money is for and what you value in your trust because 86% of people lose the money in 3 generations or less. In my trust it was written in it that the goal was to have a house. If you value a life without debt why not put that a goal of this trust is to have the beneficiaries be debt free for their entire life. If it is a large trust you could have half go to goals you set and half go to what ever the people getting the trust want.

Anything in excess can be damaging. Jesus' first public miracle changed water into wine so alcohol in and of of itself is not anti-Christian.
