Overall he creates a lot of good content. I've just never been able to figure out this weird balance he's been trying to strike where he's simultaneously playing edgelord and nice, happy guy. He spends half his time trying to piss people off, and the other half portraying himself as this nice, married dude who really wants people to like him. It makes no sense

@@LasTortugasAzules He knows exactly what he's doing. Pretty sure he talks a ton about marketing and promotion on his second channel. Controversy = Popularity. As does being relatable in some sense. He wins with angry people watching his videos and commenting, and he wins telling people what they want to hear, all while appealing to the smaller audience that's open to critical thinking and not just circle jerking to the new big thing (e.g Spiritbox, Darko US, etc.). Honestly pretty smart, imo.

28:36 that was Chase Carneson, one of the most genuine and down to earth reactors out there. He has a phenomenal ear and picks out things in the mix that I might not pick up on in my first listen. He doesn’t do reactions as frequently as before, but when a video of his premiers I click right away 😊

The reaction through all of this shows what a genuine community it really is, funny coincidence that both of you use different MGS1 sfx in your editing @13:20 I literally had the exact same thought as Finn brought it up, that performance was the Catalyst at least for me, I watch soooo many reactions to Pisces and discovered loads of channels because of it, possibly how I found yours Birb

I'm glad to see you guys come to am agreement in the end. I've watched both of your channels closely for a while. I think you're one of the best "reactors" out there, because you're a musician with thoughtful insight into the songs you listen to. If I've learned one thing about Finn, he loves to stir the pot. Whether it's the deathcore vid, his video on black metal, or, one that directly bothered me, his reaction to Amon Amarth's newest song (Finn and the Twitch chat ended up on a bit of a tangent about ties between Vikings/Paganism and Nazis, and it shed a bad light on a harmless band and legitimately fun song). He knows how to grab attention and create emotions, and he's intelligent about it... most of the time. I love his content, and the Amon Amarth video didn't change that, but I think he's let more things fly since getting bigger on Twitch, and that can go either way for me. Just thought I'd add that.

I know you don't watch other reaction channels but I would recommend you check out the Charismatic Voice on your own time she breaks down the music in a way that is so unique because she's a professional singer and teacher

Most reaction channels are garbage because they aren't honest. The song could totally suck and they'll hype it up(Nik listening to ADTR). That's why I stick around on this channel though. He doesn't blow smoke

In regards to your statement that you are a review channel and not a reaction channel: I would just like to say that when I started watching your channel I would only watch the reaction part and not the review and it would only be for songs/bands I like (mainly metalcore). When you used the term “copy pasta” for the metalcore formula, I had realised why I was so bored with most of metalcore. I started watching more of your videos (Patreon now for almost 2 years!) with bands from different subgenres of metal I wouldn’t have given a shot before and I have found so many amazing bands through your channel (progressive deathcore was my #1 genre of 2020 & 2021). I love the pros and cons section of your videos because I have found that if there is something about the song I disliked or really liked that I can’t explain why, your pros and cons 9 times out of 10 will point out the reason.

Here's my serious comment. My first two music reaction channels are Metalbirb and Hard Core. Yes, I don't always agree with both of you guys, but I feel like that's the whole point. But honestly, it's really rare that I don't agree with the birb and that's why he's my favorite OG reactor. It does help that he's a sexy beast tho. I’m a way he’s wrong but he’s also right. There’s only 4 reaction channels in the Metalcore community I like which is you, the Two Aussie guys, the girl with blue hair, and Nik Nokturnal. I always felt like these 4 have genuine and actual opinions when they react. I like Finn’s content too.

Did you just say it like that to get a rise/views out of people ?
