I love Disturbed's version with David Draiman's voice, and the arrangement they've made. But there is just a warmth and that little bit of aging in Henk's voice that makes his version also be so special. And the way his way trained voice handles this building in intensity and crescendo - like honey for the ears. And it's just a bonus that Floor is fangirling hard :D. Hope everything is well with yourself and your students in spite of the positive corona test. We have the first case in my family now, from a nephew's girlfriend who works in a kindergarten. It certainly hits in a different way, when it's someone you know who catches this damn virus. Take care out there.

Floor didn’t ask Henk, because every singer who honor Floor, in this case, pick his own favorite. Imo the Netherlands is one of the most creative music countries in the world nowadays with versatile, creative great voices. A lot to investigate for all your reactors. If you want to hear both Floor and Henk in a song together, look no further than "The Phantom of the Opera". They performed that together on this same show, actually, you might like a whole lot more songs from this show. Too many to mention but to highlight a few still : "Vivo per Lei", "Que' se siente", "Pa Olvidarte" and "Hotel California" (this is simply just the tip of the iceberg that was season 2019, such a ridiculous season and each and every singer there, made it special, they all had amazing songs that are all worthy of react videos. I don't know if you have heard David Draiman of Disturbed sign this song... it's pretty awesome too. Also...Disturbed has a couple of "new" songs out, one I think you would really enjoy...first is "Hold Onto Memories" and the next is "Already Gone"....and both are songs that will make you cry. They are very emotional, and not what you would expect from a "Heavy Metal" band.

Hi, first time Henk use distortion in his live, as a musical and opera singer , it's a big no no to use distortion, you can get fired for using distortion..he learn it from his vocale coach in a couple of hours..

I like Henk, and many of his other songs, he is a great singer, and I love that he payed homage to Disturbed by covering them, but I have to agree with the poster below, you really should react to the original Disturbed cover too. I can't hear Henk or Pentatonix or anyone else, do this song this way, without hearing David Draiman's elegant, forceful voice. As strange as it may seem, this metal band, reimagined a classic, with a stunning new arrangement and performance, that has become a standard in itself, covered by everyone and their mother. So far 650 million views, of the Video, and there is a Live version on the Conan O'Brien show.

To each, their own. I would personally disagree and say that this is better than Disturbed -- but I may be biased as this is the only version Mr. Poort has done. Maybe it's my preference for live performances, as Disturbed on Conan was (in my opinion) exactly on par with this -- but the studio version ("Official music video"?) from Disturbed sounds absolutely awful (to me), and it drags down my overall opinion. So not a fair comparison, but "to each, their own".

Both Henk and David Dramon of Disturbed are incredible singers but David Dramon's voice there's a level of authenticity to his rage that comes from a real place. The suicide of his girlfriend at such an early age gives him a well of rage that he can tap into whenever he wants. I lost my son 20 years ago and I can still touch that rage at will so believe me so can David. Also after Disturbed's cover of Sound of Silence came out Paul Simon (the original songwriter) said the song was now Disturbed's song. The original visionary of this song's message essentially gave it to David as the new visionary ... that's good enough for me lol
