This one is the most beautiful rendition of this song and I'm being listening for many years, I'm 65. He impersonated the God of Music and he is really mad with humans that are entertained with silliness, instead of listening or creating beauty with his instruments. The music they are creating is soo useless that nobody hear it, is like they are creating "silence". He is the first singer that make me, MAKE ME listen to the lyrics. He shocked my shoulders and ask me, "DO YOU GET IT"? Love his angry God face.

He was so focused and calm as he commanded/demanded attention to the meaning of the song. The details of his performance were also amazing. The body language... he sang to the entire audience as he looked to left and right, the clinched fist and the thankful prayer-like bow at the end was majestic. The best cover performance I’ve ever seen. No other band or singer can touch this rendition, period. So many comments have compared David’s version to many others especially Pentatonix’s version. They did a great job, but it just didn’t stack up to David’s imho. I’ll probably catch some bad comments for that, but that’s fine. Peace

This is one of the deepest most meaningful songs ever written. S&G made it an icon. When I first heard someone remade it I was very upset. I thought "you cannot duplicate perfection, who in the world had the guts to even try this, what an insult to S&G." So I listened to it with a negative attitude to start with. By "I've come to talk with you again" my eyes got wide, my mouth dropped open and I didn't take my eyes off the video. I am not normally a fan of remakes, particularly remakes of icon songs written by original artists and sung by original artists, there are just some songs that cannot be remade or perfected, and its insulting to me when people try. But this....THIS is the most incredible remake I have ever heard. I have probably listened to it a thousand times and I will never ever get tired of it. David Draiman brings more than justice to this song. I would think that S&G would give this a two thumbs up, or a full two hands up for that matter. This is out of this world. Talent over talent over talent. Incredible. Unique is putting it mildly, I can't take my eyes off of him. He is indescribable. The emotion in his face in the video is so deep and meaningful if it doesn't give you chills nothing will. An amazing gift to the music industry. He will be an icon for the rest of time because of this song. I am much too young to remember anything about S&G specifically, I sort of remember the split but never did find out what caused the rift. My older brothers are the ones who taught me an appreciation of that era of music and the history behind all of it, the protests, the war, Woodstock, the needless deaths in a country who didn't want us there to begin with, they aren't old enough to have been at Woodstock, the oldest was born in 1971, but they know their classic rock and 60's music, and I was singing that stuff since the age of 4 or 5 because they taught me not only the words but the meaning behind it ( it didn't really register for a couple more years when they were showing me videos of Woodstock and Vietnam and then we rented the movie "Platoon" and watched it when I was like 6 or 7 and it started to make sense) which my folks would have killed them for letting the little ones watch that LOL, and they taught me about the band members and what they did and their back stories. I was the only one in my 3rd grade class who knew Janis Joplin and Jimmy Hendrix died from an OD from Heroin and that Jimmy Hendrix played the Stars Bangle Banner on guitar, and what the meaning of the song "White Rabbit" was, let alone that mushroom was a hallucinogen and that 420 grew in the ground and how even back then they all thought it should be legal because what grows in the ground was put there by God for us to enjoy (and we all still believe that, but we live in the middle of the bible belt so its going to take some time to make 420 legal here but we will get there, just like the casinos) I wasn't born until 1980. But I can name the song and artist of nearly every song done in the 60's 70's and 80's and can sing them word for word. I hardly listen to 1990's music and beyond which my friends still think very strange because that's our era and I cannot get them to understand how important music was at that time, how it influenced the music industry forever and how that music in those era's changed our world forever, those bands and those artists changed this country and how we live. Elvis broke the seal yes, but it was that era that stole his crown for sure. It must have been an incredible time to have been alive and young then. My brothers say the same but we were too young for concerts, (or so our parents said) except the oldest two who were 16 and 17, they would have let them go probably, and we only hear about Woodstock and the war because my parents were just graduating college when the Vietnam war started and my father was in law school and his number never came up or he would have been drafted into that war so they were not at Woodstock but they tell us about it. The first concert I ever went to was the Rolling Stones "Steel Wheels" when I was 9 years and the oldest was 17, he got 8 tickets and the 7 youngest of us including me snuck out of our bedrooms which were all in a remodeled awesome basement for 8 kids with all separate bedrooms for everyone through the well windows, the boys pushed my oldest brothers car far enough down the street that our parents couldn't possible hear his car start because it was a loud sports car convertible, we all locked our bedroom doors and stuffed a bunch of pillows under the covers and he drove us there and it was one of the most incredible concerts. We all bought t shirts but it didn't hit us how we could ever wear them or they would know we went without permission, and even of the 16 and 17 year old had permission, which they didn't, how did all 8 of us suddenly get stones concert t-shirts, and there was no way they would have been allowed to take a 10, 11, 12, 14 and 15 year old by ourselves to a Stones concert, my parents weren't stupid they knew the Stones. I remember he told us the tickets were like 5.00 each then. Back then 5.00 to me sounded like a fortune, but we went and we never got caught. We all hid our t shirts and several years ago we all went and had them preserved so they will never get old and the material will not rot. Since I was the youngest, back then I would sometimes let things slip. They all warned me within an inch of my life if I ever let it slip or ratted them out I could never ride in their cars with them again. I have 5 older brothers, I was the youngest and the only girl 3 of the 8 of us. The two oldest, 16 and 17 each had what I thought were the coolest sports cars ever (and they were pretty cool, mustang convertibles, one red and one royal blue). I was officially the coolest kid in the entire grade school because from second grade on they always picked me up after school and always had a soda from a gas station and a snack for me every single day. My friends always would ask for rides but they never would take anyone else. My father always told them if they did he would take their keys away for one month. Such great memories, the oldest is only 8 years older than me so we are all under 50. We always make fun of my dad for not giving our poor mom a break in between kids. The biggest age spread is 2 years difference in between baby 4 and 5. Everyone else was born back to back. My dads family is boy heavy, I guess he was determined to have that first girl, but talk about cherished by my brothers and dad...I thank God my mother lived long enough to raise me. Had something happened to her I would be the most miserable spoiled rotten brat on this earth. She is the only one who ever would hand down any discipline to me at all, then she had a house full of pissed off men at her for the next few days. HA!

I was ten when Simon n Garfunkle released it. And to this day one of my favorites of all time. I am a musician and am a metal guy. Been a Disturbed since they hit the air. This version is stellar and of all the reviews i have watched, they seem very respectful and really enjoyed this version. Where others seem to grapple with the hidden desire of relevency but come across as clueless

You could definitely tell you two beautiful ladies were completely mesmerized by this performance. Loved the little smiles from you two when he belted out... "And the people bowed and prayed, to the neon god they made". This is the type of performance where the performer leaves you begging for more, when the song ends. Great reaction. Peace....

Your facial reactions say it all !!! This is an amazing cover of a brilliant song, 1st done by Simon & Garfunkel warning us, if we don't change our ways we are headed for destruction, and Disturbs version is angry, because we didn’t listen to the warnings... 😌 I always feel this song is like a rollercoaster ride....... slowly bringing you to the top, with nervous anticipation, then quickly crashing to the bottom, leaving a pit in your stomach.....Great reaction & I had a very similar reaction, to my very soul......

Watching your faces while listening was all you needed to say, you said it all in your expressions. :) I'm the exact same as Henri, and didn't know others were like this, but yes, I'll goes years listening to a song and not know what the lyrics are because I just love the melodies of it all together. I didn't know anyone else did this too! Most people I know can sing along with songs, not so for me. But I will instantly recognize and know a song within the first few notes.

Probably had listened in on the rehearsal beforehand. Also in the know that David was running a temp of 103 where most “STARS” would cancel the gig David killed it!! I would clap wildly knowing all that before he’d sung a note!!

fun fact #1: David was actually fighting flu when he did this performance fun fact #2: David hated that they used autotune fun fact #3: this isn't Disturbed's typical sound fun fact #4: David's Jewish (although he ended up rebelling from his faith) and his gfather was the head cantor, which is where his fam says he gets his voice from

Disturbed really did justice to this song. It is incredible how Simon and Garfunkel were so ahead of their time. Every single time I listen go this song ig makes me realize that there are people out there with special gifts. This song from the 1960s relates more to our times than it did back then, it is like if they traveled to the future then want back to the 60s and wrote about what they saw and how doomed our society was. Beautiful song with a very sad but real message. My new favorite song of all time

Awesome reactions! I watch these reaction videos looking to see the expressions of those reacting to it. To see them embrace the feeling going through them in the same places the piece of music grabbed me. When people keep stopping a piece of music, they can't totally grasp the total power of it as it was meant to flow from one stage to the next plateau! I enjoyed sharing this with you! You are also both very attractive, and the girl on the right has beautiful deep dark eyes!! Thank you for this video!

at 4:21 When he hits that roar and you both smile. We all did, but why? It is the most intense and angriest part of the song. Yet we all smile, as if a satisfaction of connecting with that moment and feeling. I put this up with Johnny Cash covering Hurt as the two greatest and most powerful covers ever done. Every time I hear them, someone starts cutting onions near me. I'm not crying, you are crying!
