the problem with Ludwig other than game knowledge and being a beginner is that he wastes SO MUCH TIME. like being slightly inefficient is fine but Ludwig wastes so much time with his pathing, jungling(been improved), so much overthinking to do "something" that is just outright nah. For a first time moba player though, he is improving pretty nicely.

10:27 Can you clarify for me? I get that it's not always a good idea to blindly follow your teammates because especially in low elo, their game knowledge and decision making is unreliable. But I remember in another video, you were 2v2 bot lane as Lux and you decided to engage/play aggressively, which conflicted with what your adc wanted to/was prepared to do and as a result you died. After the fact, you said that while theoretically your play was correct, in reality because your adc wasn't on the same page, it was wrong and the blame was on you. So is this just a difference in how games play out at different elos? Should I be committing to plays called by teammates that I don't have 100% faith in?
@Polypuff
@Polypuff 2 ай бұрын
It's more of an elo thing in this scenario, since I don't think it's a good idea to 100% trust the pings of a bronze teammate without even considering if the play is good or not. In the case of the Lux 2v2 vid, as long as your teammate's play has a good enough possibility of it succeeding, then I can just accept it and change up my way of thinking. For example if I consider my plan A as 90% objectively correct and my teammate's plan B as 70% correct, there is enough leeway to just accept that there could have been a miscommunication. But if I consider my plan A to be 90% correct and my teammate's plan B as 10% correct, then I should honestly just ignore the call since the chance of the play working out is so low that it's actually inting if I decide to go along with it. It all comes down to how fast you can recognize this since different factors can constantly change what the "correct" play is in every scenario, but this requires making decisions for yourself and seeing if your thought process matches with what your teammate is also thinking, since if everyone is not on the same page then a 90% correct play can go down instantly, making it no longer the best option. I think that you should only commit to plays called by your teammates as long as you can see some chance of it working out if everyone is on the same page, but you can't just blindly go in without even considering that it could be bad, which is the bad habit I'm hoping Ludwig can avoid because more often than not if a play doesn't end up working out, people tend to blame the player for the bad call instead of the call itself, which is fundamentally a bad way to improve at the game
@MyNameIsZelo
@MyNameIsZelo 2 ай бұрын
@@Polypuffwhen I played for local tournaments my coach told me one thing about decisions like this. “Even if the decision is bad, if everyone committed to the decision it’s going to work out.” I personally spin it more like, even if the decision isn’t optimal you can still make it come out ontop of you can spin it to be, maybe you are able to turn the tides or coinflip the fight well enough to make it beneficial, but that’s obviously based on your own ability. The decision behind it though is to commit to a play even if it isn’t the most optimal play, while also being able to avoid guaranteed bad plays.
@d4s0n282
@d4s0n282 2 ай бұрын
@@MyNameIsZelo this by itself is generally true yes, but only really counts below a specific elo, also its kinda different for comp, since you are all on it together its best to just do something together even if its incorrect play and learn from it as a team

Whenever you're doing something new in general, try to have as little expectations as possible and go into it with a blank slate, especially if it's causing you to get nervous; Sometimes you just need to play a lot of games to learn a champion so as long as you're going into every game wanting to learn from your mistakes then you'll improve in no time

Well it depends, if you and your enemy are both low hp, getting the plant will probably save you. But if your enemy is close and has high hp, getting that plant is almost guaranteed to kill you because of the slow (obviously doesn't apply to the chem drake's map).

personally, I cannot get out of using locked cam, or at least a camera that stays somewhat around me. My solution to that, USE SEMI LOCKED CAM. It provides more wiggle room for looking around, and you should also have a keybind to make it easy to unlock camera. It's pretty much the opposite of what most people do, unlocked camera with holding space to center. I like it the other way though, and I think it would help Ludwig if he really can't get out of the locked camera habit.
@mcsy98
@mcsy98 2 ай бұрын
what i used to do is change my keybinds so that spacebar is the toggle between locked and unlocked cam. i main champs that have a lot of sniping capabilities (lux, jhin) so what i did was i played in locked cam and only unlocked to use those long range spells as well as seeing ahead of me. i played like that for about a year until i decided to finally have fully unlocked cam, and the previous semi locked cam helped in the transition! even when semi locked cam is very useful and better than fully locked, fully unlocked cam is a huge game changer since you get more aware of your surroundings by constantly having to move your cam manually, which in turn helps you react better to ganks and skirmishes and stuff. hopefully you can eventually get to unlock your cam permanently but honestly if it isnt for you, keep doing your own thing. ive heard of some people getting to diamond with straight up locked cam which is crazy to me but what do i know lol. this is just my two cents and my own experience :0
@melanieh.3091
@melanieh.3091 2 ай бұрын
@@mcsy98 I pretty much have my camera unlocked unless I’m fighting. I tend to lose where I am in fights, which is why I like semi locked. It’s not like a tiny peephole like completely locked, but it’s locked enough so that I don’t walk face first into a nautilus. And I do agree, fully unlocking the camera is the best, but for moments when you’re not looking around, being locked is fine.

variety streamer, youtuber, content creator. he dabbles in a lot of different games and stuff as well as commentary and partakes in goofy stuff with his friends, was particularly good with super smash bros as like a former pro player or something. rest assured hes a gamer he played league a little bit when he was invited to some league tourny with tyler1, mrbeast, ninja, etc like 2 years ago, but i think around 2 months ago he won an auction for a 1 hour coaching session with caedrel for a hefty price. he started playing league for real until he gets high enough rank before the coaching starts but caedrel has been reacting to his gameplay anyway (its funny but painful) and now polypuff is now also on the ludwig league content train. ok that was the lore drop

whats crazy is that unlocked cam feels weird at first but once you make the switch and start playing fully unlocked, locked cam and holding space becomes the one that feels weird. its just a matter of what youre used to, so if you start playing unlocked or at least semi locked (toggle between locked and unlocked, change keybind to space so its easier) you can eventually get the feel for unlocked cam. no need to dive straight away into fully unlocked cam
