True. But compared to the Pyro's kit which is just: "(Warm my friends.) Burn my foes!" and or "(Give my chubby pal a lolly pop.) Cleave the skull of the big man!" And the other mercs are straight forward with their kills; like Sniper just doming folk from a far, Scout run and gun; granted when he uses his bat, pretty brutal, but y'know.The Medic is also pretty off, but he's more mad; like sane-insane, he knows what he's doing and rolls with how it goes. Whilst Pyro see's it'self in happy-fun-land...that poor-loco-soul is broken and makes sure everyone else is too. *whispers* It's why I main'em.

With someone who's played this game for more than 3 years with 5000 hours on record it brings a huge smile to my face that people in 2019 are still really excited by the trailers. @@greysonbourne I personally think (this is also biased) it peeked in the years around 2012 - 2014, because of the main fact there was a huge pool of community servers. Those servers included Achievement_Idlebox which was just a place to run around on low gravity and chill with friends, to prop hunt, to death run, and loads more. On top of that, there weren't bots in the valve servers which isn't the same system how the servers are run today. The servers back then when you clicked on the "casual" button, you were greeted with old styled art of the tf2 characters and it gathers all the servers with good ping for you depending where you connect from. (You also get to choose which mode you want as what we have today as well) It then drops you into a 12v12 actual casual game filled with friendly hoovies, tryhards, and everyone in between. Best part, is the map goes on forever unlike the system we had today where it would end after one or two caps or when both sides have pushed. You really could grind out the maps you loved with the people you loved playing with, and it really (to me) was the best casual game out there. It even had an alright community competitive scene as well from teams like Jasmine Tea, Froyo Tech, Se7en, and much more. It really is a blast from the past writing about it all, and I do apologies for the long read but I hope you find this useful!

Fun Fact: Meet the Sandvich was originally supposed to be a predator ripoff. The team was told "no, you cant just do that" and while they were trying to figure out what to do instead, the voice actors for Heavy, Scout, and Soldier were in the booth waiting. Realizing that the script wasn't going through (and worrying for their jobs) they started ad-libbing a bunch of lines for the fun of it and to make use of booth time. The short we ended up with was a mish mash of a few lines. p.s. here are a few of the lines that got cut. "Hes like a bear! He's like a big, shaved bear that HATES PEOPLE" "Gimme back my legbone! HEY! Dont hit me with it!" "You call that killing me? Im Still alive! *Cracking noise* I am now ordering you to kill me. Please god kill me!" Pyro isn’t crazy, it’s his goggles. They actually exist ingame and they are called pyrovision goggles. I think the chefs of Mann co. gave pyro the goggles because he was a pacifist and didn’t want to fight the war in the beginning? Idk not sure.

meet the scout came out before it became purchasable by itself, originally you had to buy it with the orange box, it came with 2 other games, including portal and half life 2 episode 1 & 2 i believe which was in 2007. meet the scout was around 2009, which was when it released as a standalone game. it then went free to play forever in 2012 with the release of the über update and meet the medic. just a bit of clarification

If you do decide to try out TF2, make sure you don't just play Casual mode, try the community servers. There's tons of fantastic community maps and game modes, and you'd do yourself a disservice by not trying them out. If nothing else, check out Prop Hunt, Dodgeball, TF2ware, and Vs Saxton Hale. They're some of the best the community has to offer, and unfortunately Casual mode has been slowly starving them to death.

Fun Fact: Sniper is from New Zealnd and landed in Australia by Spaceship. Also in Tf2 canon, New Zealand went underwater wiping it from land because Sniper's Father told them that there would be a catastrophic event wiping everything from above and told them they would be safe in space. Then fast forward spy is born and his father then says that they need to go to space because it isn't safe underwater and the Elders say they can't do that since they used all their funds in going underwater. So Sniper's Father built a spaceship for himself and got into an argument with his wife in who would go in the spaceship and survive since it only fit one person. Then Baby Sniper climbed into it and launched the rocket by accident and the rocker shattered the glass separating New Zealand from the water and floods New Zealand. Then the Spaceship Sniper was in didn't work and he landed in Australia and his adopted Parents found him and took him as their own. Sniper didn't know that they weren't his true parents until he saw his Bio parents in Flooded New Zealand. Thanks for listening to my Ted Talk

That Australia jab at the beginning alone, was so wonderful and accurate that it earned you a sub! (An Australian summer typically ranges from 30°C to 40°C. The Heavy doesn't really respect anyone, referring to them as "babies." A man of his size tends to look down on everyone. But when the Medic found out a way to actually outsmart bullets (& rockets too) then Heavy respects that. "I am bulletproof!" I love the fact that Spy can hit you with a "Yo' Mama" joke & back it up with photographic evidence. There IS a backstory on why the Medic has the living severed head of the Spy in his refrigerator...Check out "Team Fortress 2 Meet the Medic: Outtakes." That video was still in development when Valve decided to scrap it & put out the "Meet the Medic" video we saw here. They did, however, keep the Spy's living severed head idea for it... During one of the sequences for Sniper included him drinking coffee & filling up jars...He can use those as a weapon too, in "Meet the Jarate." When Demoman was being bleeped out in part of his speech, he wasn't cursing...He was telling a true story about the Loch Ness Monster that the government didn't want to be revealed. My favorite line out of this series has to be, "Oh, they're gonna have to glue you back together...in hell!" To be honest, they're all a bit crazy but each one has their own flavor of insanity to express.
