Butterflies are everywhere in GFriend videos, as Eunha has the power of time travel which she gained from the magic lake where they danced in Love Whisper. She tries to use them to reset the past where members fell out and attacked each other but it always seemed to go wrong and things only got worse. Because butterflies are so important to the lore of GFriend, Yuju has butterflies 🦋 on her guitar in one of her solo videos and plastered all over her microphone stand and car in another music video. VIVIZ have an even closer connection seeing as Eunha is part of the group so it was no surprise that they called their fandom Na.V. This represents Nabi (butterfly in Korean) I.e. their fans, next to V for VIVIZ, showing their close connection which is so real I actual life.

The thing with "Fingertip" was, I remember when it first came out, it wasn't that well received by fans because it was darker and different than what Gfriend was known for. I think at the time the fans weren't ready to give up the bright youthful Gfriend. Plus they also didn't really perform Fingertip much after 2017 and in a way it seemed almost like a forgotten Gfriend song...Until they released "Crossroads" in 2020 which pulled a lot of references of "Fingertip" and suddenly people were talking about "Fingertip" again. Idk, its just at the time of release, Fingertip didn't seem to connect with any other title track but now 3 years later, the connection is drawn. I believe majority of the Gfriend lore stems from the events in "Fingertip". I'm not very good at explaining it, so hopefully someone else will lay it out better. Also for "Summer Rain" apparently the reason why Eunha is the only one standing in the rain and getting wet is because she was the first to do that shot but then they realized it would take took long to have everyone get drenched then dried to do other shots, so only Eunha did it. As for Gfriend vs Dreamcather, yes they are like different sides of the same coin or like the AU versions of each other. They're both groups with music that has these heavy instrumentals but different concepts. If Dreamcather is the Dark, Gfriend is the light

and yes, it's Yuju that has the voice.....the only proof that you need is when GFRIEND, Twice, Red Velvet, and I.O.I did the special cover of SNSD "into the New World" for the 2017 KBS Song festival it was her that had all the belting parts over Wendy or Yeonjung (who was in I.O.I but now is a part of WJSN). the lore: they got superpowers and five of them actually dead eunha is the one alive and trying to save them by traveling past also she is using butterflies for traveling you will see similar scenes about their mvs when you watch crossroads mv. also, they can meet sometimes in eunha’s dreams but unfortunately we don’t know the full story thanks to source music for disbanding them for no reason (real. the reason is still unknown.) thank you for reacting and discovering them btw you got soo much stuff (beautiful choreos, bsides, superior Japanese songs etc.)

so these group of songs are the classic GFRIEND sound.....bright songs with incredibly complex jazz chord structures (for example....using the raised vi chord hence the presence of a LOT of anime sounding passages), really interesting/unexpected key changes, that constant fast running beat, midi string counterpoints underneath, screaching guitar solos.....its literally the GFRIEND sound. It's funny watching people who got introduced to GFRIEND through Mago and then go back. Mago was such an outlier of a song of their main releases

Yeah, for Love Whisper they really made a REAL pool of water just for the girls to dance in it lol I don't remember which one but one of the Music show did a real pool of water too in the studio just for GFRIEND, but unlike the MV the girls kept the socks and shoes to dance in that pool. The theory is, if you remember at the end of the Mago MV they all ran happily. because previously they had a fight/conflict as you can see now. In essence, the main character in Theory Gfriend is Eunha, she has full control over the time travel power of Butterflies.

Dreamcatcher used to be a cute bubbly concept group until they fully rebranded into the group we know today. They were MINX at the same time gfriend was around.. MINX debuted in 2014, GFRIEND debuted 2015. MINX "disbanded" 2016 and rebranded ‐ adding 2 new members and redebuted as DREAMCATCHER in 2017! And it should be said I LOVE all 3 groups, gfriend, minx and dreamcatcher all have a place in my heart!

I think there were a few short storyline trailer before they released crossroads under hybe to summarize it. It was called "A tale of a glassbead" I think were under a couple of minutes each trailer. And I remembered that when you buy the crossroad to mago albums I think there is a small story book included to further explain what is their storyline. It's fun to watch the MVs again with gfriend songs. My all time fave is Rough and Time for the Moon Night. ❤️

To recognize the other members: Sowon is the really tall, mature one. Yuju is the one with most powerful and fuller vocals. And Yerin is the one with a doll like face and she smiles with her eyes. You get the 3 girls right in the beginning of Navillera. Yuju is the one you thought could be the main dancer, she is the main vocalist but also she is a golden member, she is one of the best dancers and good in all sports she does. Gfriends concept is actually that they are witches, like in Apple. Gfriend did had a similar sound until some point, the bsides are completely different also really good. But they change. The japanese songs are so good and have its own vibe too. I hope you also react to their japanese mvs: Memoria, Flower and Fallin Light. Theyre perfect. The order would be: Time for the moon night - Sunny summer - Memoria - Sunrise - Flower and than Fallin lights (the other mvs you have reacted)

Well, about GFRIEND and Dreamcatcher it's more the inverse. GFRIEND debuted in 2014 and Dreamcatcher debuted in 2017, GFRIEND was already very popular and already made a genre of their own with strings and electric guitar when Dreamcatcher debuted. With a more rock genre with electric guitar too, people started to compare both group and started saying that Dreamcatcher was like a dark version of GFRIEND, both had electric guitars, both had hardcore choreographies and both group had amazing vocalists. Dreamcatcher once said that they were honored to be compared to GFRIEND. That what made me discover Dreamcatcher, i was a huge fan of GFRIEND ( still am too since they are my ultimate group so by extension Viviz and all the other members solo projects) and was curious about a group who do rock and is like a dark version of GFRIEND. I like all kind and genre of music and i have a sweet spot for Rock and Hard-rock too. So i became a huge fan of Dreamcatcher because of GFRIEND lol. If you have some questions or confusions about GFRIEND just ask we Buddy are one of the most friendliest fandom in K-pop well like our girls are. Yeah, all GFRIEND members are close friends with lot of members of other girl groups even the big other groups like Red Velvet or Twice. By example Yerin is very close friend with Red Velvet Joy.

There are a lot of groups out there with 2 excellent vocalists. Red Velvet's Wendy and Seulgi, Cherry Bullet's Bora and Haeyoon, Dreamcatcher's Siyeon and Yoohyeon, but as far as a trio, I'll take Yuju, Eunha and Yerin over just about anyone. WJSN's Dawon, Yeonjung and Soobin are the only other trio I can think of in that category.

Like you mentioned, yes GFRIEND MV have lore and storyline that turn aound the Butterfly, time travel, dimension travel, alternate lifes but yeah sometime it can be confusing. What i can say is that is their song talk maybe about love but more about sisterly love, genderless love and friendship rather the romantic love between a boy and a girl.
