Weeby: I thought Chiaki was the mastermind! TBH, I think that could've been an interesting concept. Like instead of her dying, she's corrupted by Junko and her classmates are led believe she died so they fall into despair. She lives in hiding then acts as the mastermind of the Future Foundation killing game (possibly with Yukizome as her Mukuro). Meanwhile, her classmates all recover from their killing game and come to save the members of Future Foundation only to discover the truth of their supposedly dead Class Representative. (Not trying to attack Chiaki; only trying to dicuss a potential plotline that I find interesting. Sorry if it comes across that way!)

I’ve always thought of the whole “prison” thing as being related to Danganronpa 52. A lot of the flashback lights referenced prison and the school was called a prison. This was probably just a red herring, but I personally believe that team Danganronpa reused the set of DR52 for the next game, since they decided that they would end it with revealing the truth about how the series worked

9:04 Well actually, it was discovered that this indeed was Chiaki. For Danganronpa 10th Anniversary, a few of the Japanese Danganronpa official Twitter accounts released the entire artwork and it turned out to be all the Danganronpa 2 students in their uniforms just like in Danganronpa 3, in the middle of that artwork was Chiaki in the exact same position we seen back at E3.

This was delightful. I finished V3 last week and have felt sort of gloomy now that there are no more Danganronpa games to enjoy. Fun to hear your old videos and then have new chill content like this. Kinda feels like a Danganronpa recovery group because of how long it's been since a game release xD 100% on board for whatever content you want to make.

@@luigivercotti6410 Not really. She was a nothing character. Her reveal would of have more of an impact if she was someone like Kaito. She became predictable. Kaito would of been a much better villain and would affected Shuichi and Maki more.

​@@lunavioleta001 Yeah, that's fair enough, and now that I think about it some more, Kaito would make a very interesting twist villain indeed, (he's not dumb though, take that back >:c Kaito is naive, sure, but he's not dumb. In fact I find him a very wise and mature person overall) especially due to that friendliness; The way I imagine it is that in the ending he reveals that the only reason he's been so supportive to Schuichi and Maki, and everyone else, really, is because he wanted to witness their utter despair when he ultimately betrays them... But! Even though he says that, he actually was genuinely sympathetic and grew very attached to them but pressured himself to betray them to stick with the original plan and to validate himself as Junko's successor. However, the survivors defeat him in some fashion, and again he forces himself to be like Junko and execute himself, even though he really doesn't want to! He thinks this way he'll finally see the Ultimate Despair that was his lethal obsession. So he goes to his prolonged and painful death, but the more he suffers, the more he can't bring himself to truly enjoy it like Junko did, the more doubtful he gets; Until at the very last second, mere moments before being crushed he finally understands: "Now that all the warmth and love and kindness that I knew has dissolved right before me, now that there's nothing left in me to gasp or scream or cry anymore, now I finally see the Ultimate Despair, and only now do I realise; I want to go back!" *CRUNCH!* What do you think? Is it too edgy? I think I kinda like this angle!

One thing I noticed especially towards the end, not only did they change Korekiyo and Shuichi's positions they also gave Saihara his hat in the second poster. Cuz in the outlines from all those years ago you can see he has an ahoge but in the second poster he has his hat on. I wonder if during development they decided to hide Saihara being the protagonist by giving him the hat or something like that. Anyways I am loving these reaction videos they're super fun to just go down memory lane and remember what the mindset was going into future installments

If I recall correctly the promo poster for v3 with Keebo front and center was super intentional. I think it had the Team Danganronpa logo attached which meant it was an in-universe advertisement, and as we know Keebo was the in-universe protagonist. Plus, while convincing everyone that they had no autonomy during the last trial, Tsumugi said the Maki-Kaito love story was manufactured, and it was a draw for viewers that season, so that’s why they were a huge focal point on the promo as well.

@@ItzBlackace Nice, for me it's always the first one, which is generally the least liked out of the 3. I think it has a unique atmosphere to it, and its relative simplicity and small scale make it that much more immersive to me. Plus, I think it has by far the best ending of the 3, and as a sidenote, even though all the end credits songs with Megumi Ogata (Makoto and Nagito's VA) are top-notch, the first one (saisei) somehow always makes me cry... V3 I'll grant though, is a lot more refined in every technical aspect, in many ways feels like a direct upgrade to the first game, whereas 2, generally the most universally loved, is kind of a different formula with more colourful style and characters.
