Please make this a series!! I think it is a really positive message to pet owners that it’s okay and normal to make mistakes but learning from them and improving your pet care is important!! Love this!! We’ve all made mistakes and are leaning from them. Even I did months of research before getting my first hamster and I still made mistakes. Learning and doing better is what matters.

I’m sure we’ve all made mistakes of various degree. My first hamster was in a critter trail, because I researched everything but cage size. All we can do is move forward. Give your current pets the best possible life and more than what you’re supposed to and it won’t fix what happened, but it’ll encourage others to do the best.

I’m really touched by your honesty. I’ve owned many small pets and I have made mistakes as I’m sure many other people have and it’s ‘nice’ if that’s the right word, to see that PetTubers themselves have made mistakes and are honest about it. I’ve always thought that PetTubers are so perfect and that they’ve never done anything wrong and it always made me assume they’ve never made mistakes. Thank you for showing us this. It’s given the audience a way more realistic side of owning pets and that no one is perfect. As long as people correct their mistakes then it’s fine ❤️

Hi, this is kind of off topic, but one time at my school, some kids were watching America’s Got Talent videos, and the robo hamster in my class came out of her hideout, and sat in her food bowl to watch it too, and I know she was watching it, because after the video was over, she went back into her hideout.
@femijnbas72084 жыл бұрын
Ah the “I was a horrible animal mom” thro back. I’m still so so ashamed of how I cared for my animals when I was a kid, my first hamster was in a tiny plastic aquarium. Like 10cm by 30cm, after my first hamster died my second hamster also lived in there until my uncle lost her well watching her. I was 5 wen I got my first hamster and it was before internet, I sadly couldn’t know any better. Don’t be so hard on your self, you improve so much and that’s what’s it all about 😁
@laikaaardwolf31774 жыл бұрын
This video came out a long time ago but, boy do I relate. My first pet that I got in 3rd grade was a parakeet. If you don't know anything about birds let me tell you- parrots and yes, even parakeets, need SO much space, and time, and insane amounts of enrichment. Safe to say small child me did not provide those things, and I literally have nightmares about her...

Good for changing! If I need to get my mouse up for whatever reason, I usually just rustle the bedding gently around the hut, or move the cage around a bit so he wakes up. I’d only pull the hide off if I expected an emergency I.e. so blood, or unusually tuffs or maybe something I’m not thinking of, but so far that’s never happened!

Oh, Erin.. I was just as bad and that was only about 8 months ago unfortunately, I've watched more videos and read more stuff so now I'm not torturing my mice. I did the exact same thing of lifting the den. I have to mention I am 11, not 17 though. I believe our old cage was too small- The one I have now isn't huge either. I'm always freaking out when I see your massive cage with so many toys? I don't have a lot of toys because they don't fit in there. After watching some more cage tours I'm going to visit the pet store... I only have a den, a water bottle, a food bowl, 2 toilet paper rolls downstairs (their den, food bowl and wheel are on these cage bars that are higher up, the den is filled with cotton) and then I have a bunch of these bird toys that hang from the top. Oh, and a mineral stone. I recently added an empty egg cardboard box in there. They love it. But still, I don't have your huge toys and I really wish they would fit in there oh my gosh.. I don't think I can even bury any secret dens in there. I'm surprised my mice aren't dead out of boredom. Edit: I completely forgot this tube made out of cardboard with grass or hay or something on it so they love to chew on that..
