But the way DKB did covers of girlgroups was genuinly bad. Some boygroups I can see atleast tries, but DKB don’t even try. They just make an overtly masculine choreo that does not even suit the song.

Honestly, even if MHJ stayed silent about Belift referencing New Jeans too much like their overall packaging, the public is still gonna compare them. I don't know what HYBE specially BANG PD (since I saw his name in the production credits of Illit's songs) were thinking debuting a gg closely related to their 2 year old group. Even JYP knows how to separate her ggs apart and even YG debuts her gg with a larger debut gap so atleast the gg before them are already a household name even though he recycles concept. Plus, that name ILLIT lol he's not even hiding the Dahn World allegations since the founder of that cult is Ilchi Lee. 😅 Anyway top level execs of this company are all yapping egotistic people. MHJ (she's too fascinated with youth-like concepts makes me wonder if her research involves lurking into nth rooms as part of target market sourcing. Her concepts before are wilder than what she did to nwjns) and PJW (even the people from his previous companies doesn't like him coz' he's all politics) alike.

@@lornam1142 there is a problem. We all know kpop has mostly minors as target audience. The very reason some MVs and songs are not played in Korean broadcasts is because of this. If the group debuted and has their target audience as minor age group, then yes they are responsible for how they present themselves. Unless the idols are doing adult kpop (BM-kard, sunmi, hyuna), then it doesn't matter.
@lornam11427 ай бұрын
@@theymakefunofmyname-qz4dq Who decides which artists are meant for adults? I also don’t think minors seeing someone in revealing clothing is a big deal. Parents should be responsible and educate their own children on what is appropriate for them.
@theymakefunofmyname-qz4dq7 ай бұрын
@@lornam1142 The artist debuting theme/concept can let people know if they're for adults.That's ideal. But we're not living in an ideal world now, are we? This also goes for a lot of parents thinking KPOP concerts are kid friendly and not vulgar as pop concerts. But then they storm out of BP concert because of the vulgar moves and slvt outfits. Yet these idols are marketed in kid merchandise (pencils, books etc) in local market. Every minor girl wants to be their idols, impersonates them. That's why understanding target audience is important. There are groups that gradually led their fans to mature themes - TWICE (TT to alcohol free) and maybe BTS. But this is not the case now. These agencies market the girls and sexualise them (maybe for male gaze). One comeback they're singing kids bop, the next they're flashing undies and has curse words in their songs. You're right. Parents need to be more careful. But so does the idol.
