Drake didn’t really get jumped. It was more like he got slapped by a few people, he slapped them back, then Kendrick came in with a shotgun and blew his head off.

Cole is a coward snake. He noticed that Drake & his media glazers (Mal, Ak, Adam22) were laying the ground for Drake to attack Cole and hope for a comeback recovery after the beat down he took from Kendrick. Drake for a while has been poking Cole on social media. Cole saw the play, got afraid since he doesn’t wanna battle Drake coz he knows he owes too much to Drake and Drake could exploit that to son him. Cole is a hypocrite and a grandstander. That whole song was a love letter to calm Drake down and bribe him in not attacking him since Cole left him to dry in the dot beef, then collabed with Metro, Daylyt, Asap, Future. And to secure that Drake doesn’t aim him he made sure to put some sneak disses at Kendrick so Drake glazers and Drake can latch on to. Cole is the ultimate poser, hypocrite and coward. He has no hip hop backbone. He first dissed Kendrick with that trash 7 minutes drill. Then the track was badly received by the culture. He then quickly apologized and pulled the song to duck the incoming Dot smoke. So yeah all in all Cole is a coward who now is trying to rewrite history and gaslight us. Cole humble and wise persona has always been an act, to me. A whole personal Branding. I’m glad he put out that trash revisionist "port Antonio" coz he exposed himself to those who couldn’t see how much of a fake he’s always been.

I can’t understand how nobody understands what he was saying with “I wouldn’t have lost a battle dog I would’ve lost a bro, I would’ve gained a foe…” From the first time I heard it I understood what he was saying with that. I’m starting to believe content creators are purposefully misunderstanding that line because it makes for better conversation and fits the more popular narrative at the moment. They all can be this dumb for real.
@ToBeKing
@ToBeKing 2 ай бұрын
You can interpret that line in multiple ways, but I believe your interpretation aligns with his intention. The issue with J. Cole is that he frequently boasts about his ability to be able to dominate in rap beef. However, when the opportunity arises, he releases a lackluster diss track, faces backlash, and then backtracks by promoting peace. Now, he's attempting damage control by shifting the narrative, suggesting that the fans wanted the conflict, even though he initiated it with his 'Big 3' comments. He’s a talented slime ball

14:21 most of these dudes, aren’t friends their business associates that have some things in common namely work. Most of these dudes left real friends behind and visit them in the hood or wherever they may be . Those relationships would be first priority. You all have the expectation for these people to eventually become enemies, which was always written this way. Even in New York with the parity involved in hip-hop , is still written where a lot of of these guys become enemies as they figure out who they really are as people. To keep it short , these people aren’t really friends, and society is starting to require something different of all of them individually as they are from themselves.

Cole's Port Antonio is a lyrical masterpiece beautifully delivered. Its really a shame yall are purposely misinterpreting some lines in the song. He never said he would've won the beef! Cole was not blaming fans for the beef, but he did blast the INDUSTRY games to promote the beef. Lastly, Cole's fans and several in the media had been asking Cole to comment on his perspective Stop saying you love Cole--its just not true.

So Cole listened to his fans and the media is what you are saying? It's not misinterpreting lines, J Cole is a phenomenal writer and he's good at double and triple entendres, you think he wouldn't know people's reactions, when he said : I wouldn't have lost a battle, man I would have lost a bro." Come on. He knew what he did

@@NkosinathiMudau-bt1wk If he thought he would’ve won he would’ve actually said that and it would’ve been a better bar ie. I would’ve WON THE battle but I would’ve LOST a bro. He said it the way he meant it-it was a lose lose situation for him and he definitely valued his relationship with Kendrick over a fake beef. Also, he very well knew how some people would react-hence the “dull faces and blind third eye” lines.

@@kimzziereenee1638 bro, we're really gonna debate about an obvious bar? The dude actually says, he wouldn't have lost a battle, he would have lost a friend, and gained an enemy. Why did he talk about how good the fire in his pen is in the previous line if he wasn't stating that he'd be Victorious?
