Hi Luna!! (I'm so sorry in advance, this is about to be a legit essay 😭) I found your channel earlier today, and I've been bingeing all of your BTS reactions! You are so so sweet and kind, and your analysis is really amazing, especially for a first-timer. You're catching so much that it took me so long to realize 🥲 I love watching your videos and seeing you get caught up and amazed in the same way I was! I found BTS a little over a year ago, during a really hard time in my life - my pandemic depression was very bad, and it's not an exaggeration to say that they saved me. I was having a really hard time, but their music - particularly the songs about learning to love yourself and embracing the things that make you happy, of which there are many - brought me out of my difficulties. Their insane talents, as artists, performers, writers, producers, composers, etc. (I'm sure you've heard it before, but they're heavily involved in ALL of their music - the rappers each have several hundred writing credits) amazed me, but the thing that really helped me was their music, their message, ARMY, and BTS themselves. I've never been a very confident person, but BTS taught me to embrace myself for the first time and showed me how beautiful and worthy of love I am, and it was exactly what I needed. Seeing their bond - brothers before anything else - and watching them love each other and love what they do while simultaneously being the goofiest, funniest people was my form of healing. I've met so many wonderful ARMYs - I went to several of the Agust D concerts in his recent tour (Suga), and ARMYs gave each other handmade gifts, passed out water and snacks that they'd brought from home, offered to buy each other batteries for lightsticks when they went over to convenience stores, sang songs together, told each other stories, and were just generally the best group of people I've ever met - being part of this fandom is one of the greatest happinesses in my life. BTS's music is just astounding to me; they write about social justice, mental health, societal expectations, self-love - all of the things that I've needed to hear but no one ever talks about. I've never seen an artist write about the things they write about, and I've never seen an artist do it so well - they really are poets. They've written songs in every genre I can think of (except country 😂), and they're all really good! I can't think of anyone who transcends genres as well as they do. They're all so talented and so hard-working, and just the true definition of artists: they make real art. The best thing about it, though, is their sincerity. I've never seen an artist so real, so genuine. They goof off and giggle and get up to shenanigans, and they've never once been out-of-touch! They're truly the most humble, kind, wonderful people to ever exist - their success is just as crazy to them as it is to the rest of the world 😅 They really mean so so much to me, and are an irrevocable part of my life. Every day, they remind me to take care of myself and love myself and chase after my happiness, and every day I heal a little more. I honestly don't know where I'd be without them. I've truly never seen an artist/fan relationship like the one BTS has with ARMY, not ever! We call each other family and treat each other like family and love each other like family. There are ARMY accounts on different platforms made up of medical professionals, law professionals, education professionals, environment professionals, art professionals, and every other possible thing you can think of, dedicated to helping out other ARMYs and sharing their knowledge. I've seen ARMYs *share their homes* with each other in times of need, donate money and gifts to help with family situations, write each other letters from across the world to connect. ARMY genuinely treat each other as family, and we really, really love each other and BTS - even better, BTS loves us just as much as we love them, maybe even more. And I know that doesn't really sound believable, but I'm dead serious. They had such a difficult journey, and ARMY has always been there, cheering them on in their darkest moments and their brightest. We've all formed the most beautiful bond, and I would consider the members and ARMY to be my family just as much as my blood family is. Being a BTS fan saved me, and I've never gotten to be a part of something so real and beautiful in my life. So I really, really hope you enjoy getting to know BTS! They are my most beautiful moment in life, and I can't imagine anything else now that I have them. I hope that you can love them and find inspiration and joy in them, too! That being said, this comment really is way too long 😭 I just want to say that your reactions have made me so happy (especially you gravitating to Hobi (j-hope)?? - like, YESS GIRL)! I hope you keep going with them, and I'll be here to watch! Woah, Outro: Tear, always make me cry so much... This song is about breakup but the rap line is talking about the group, in 2018 BTS was considering disbanding, it was such a hard journey and they talk about this in their 2018 MAMA speech, were all of them cried 💔 I think the song was the perfect description of how they probably feel, the way they talk about their dream finally just being a dream is so heartbreaking. BTS is one of the groups that are WAAAAAY better live than their studio versions. It's the energy that they bring on the stage and their live vocals are GOD TIER. Some of their best live performances are any version of Mikrokosmos, Magic Shop, 2019 MMA Performance, all their MTV Unplugged performances (Blue and Grey, Coldplay's Cover for Fix You, Telepathy), Film Out (MUSIC BLOOD version), and their Tiny Desk performance which was done during the pandemic.

I totally agree - but I'd still recommend that you (every reactor, in general) listen to the studio version of every song first before watching a live - just to get the original sound in its clearest form and so you can pay attention to the lyrics (not every live video has subtitles) and often the audio isn't clear (like this Outro: Tear performance - I love it for the intensity and the energy (and the outfits), but the audio has feedback and the instrumentals aren't very clear as a result, and I LOVE the instrumentals in this song so I think they need to be heard clearly 😅). They also often remix the live version so it sometimes doesn't sound much like the original studio version. My few personal exceptions to this are "Magic Shop" kzbin.info/www/bejne/mWKsgniYoZdoitk and "Tomorrow" kzbin.info/www/bejne/g53FaZahidyDsMk - you can go straight to the lives for those because the energy is amazing on-stage with a cheering audience, too. 😊Also, the stage mix of their Japanese song "Let Go" kzbin.info/www/bejne/e6W0l4hqh9ebpas (Japanese-only song, as there's no Korean version for this one). Really loved your reaction in this video. And you're the first reactor I've seen who could read "come prima" (are you Italian?) - we've heard all kinds of pronunciations, from "cum prime-o" to "kome-may preem-ah", lol. And one more song - I already recommended vocal line song "The Truth Untold" so please listen to a lyric video and then this live kzbin.info/www/bejne/p2rckoNqrL-Sqqs). Thank you! (One more note: the MMA awards show, especially 2019.. I recommend saving that to watch later in your journey, when you've seen a lot more of BTS' work and also how they are as a group - it just has more impact that way, IMO. Same goes for the song "We Are Bulletproof: The Eternal").

I'm not being biased but BTS is the rare gem of music. How can one group have the best Rapline,vocal line,dance line,stage presence,charisma,top tier music,crazy dance choreography,and to notch live performances.Like,how? So its not shocking if they're rulling the whole kpop industry and have huge fanbase. Their lyrics is what drawn me the most to them. Thank you for reacting to BTS and thank you for appreciating what each individual brings to the group to make it a force of nature. I appreciate the attention you pay to everything and would like to say please ignore the nasty and negative comments which you will receive - some individuals call themselves fans but do not know the meaning of being a fan of BTS as they don't live the core values which BTS has always shared with us. Tear is a very meaningful song, it was written in 2018 when they were thinking of disbanding and they were going through a very bad time. You can feel the angst in their voices as they sang and it brings me to tears every time I hear it. Would you perhaps consider doing reactions to individual songs by the members? If so, could I suggest that you watch A guide to BTS members by Taylor Mari as it gives you each members background and their humble beginnings. Another amazing reaction! :) And you were right once again, ON is a power anthem. It's actually an answer to one of their really old songs, N.O, they like to do throwbacks like these. Fun fact they shot the whole dance video in one take! ON actually has a music video too which is just out of this world beautiful, and is worth a watch. It expresses really well what the song is about (freedom, breaking out of fears, embracing the pain that comes with it). As others already explained Tear is about their almost disbandment, and it always tears me up as well, it did even when I hadn't learnt the backstory, nor the lyrics yet. Their voices just tell all the emotions. Suga (who wrote the song in one of his and the band's darkest moments, where he, and the other members often escaped into alcohol) explained that he had a hard time recording it, because he always started to cry at the part where he has the line "there's no such things as beautiful goodbyes". Then he showed the song to the other members and the whole group just started sobbing together..it truly means a lot to them, as they all were suffering really hard (for example Jimin locked himself into his room for days, and just sunk into deep depression, they all thought about quitting just couldn't bring themselves to say it first). I'm so impressed you noticed the multiple meaning of tear! They used it intentionally of course, that's what the parting of BTS meant to them, tear, tear, and fear. I'm glad you liked the songs, BTS live performances also never disappoint :). Answer to your question in the description: my first bias was V, his facial expressions mesmerized me, he stood out just immediately (and my first song from them was Airplane pt.2, and the live performance had V with red hair in it and I fell in love instantly 😂). But soon enough as I got to know more of their songs, I found the one and only Suga, aka Agust D aka Min Yoongi aka Lil Meow Meow aka Genius and aka many many more things. He has the hardest hitting lyrics out of all of them and saved me in some dark moments with his solo works especially. His tsundere personality is really fun as well (although personality-wise I'm fighting with all other 6, coming to biaswreck me T-T, I mean who can live without Jin's and Hobi's laugh, V's randomness, RM's clunkiness or Jimin's savage shyness). So Team Suga, but as BTS taught us, 7-1=0, and I really couldn't live without all seven of them, so Team OT7💜 but Yoongi marry me plz :') Ps: let's gooo more recognition the rap line and hyung line 😎 I can already tell J-Hope is a good fit for you, his personality is even cooler :D Here I go writing essays again, oh cmon 🥴

Hello Luna! Yes, the guy at 10:00 is Jungkook. Jungkook's roles in the group are: Main Vocalist, Lead Dancer, Sub Rapper, Center/Face of the Group, and Maknae. He is the main vocalist, as he is the most stable and flawless while singing and often has the most parts in a song. That’s because his voice fits almost every kind of song. He can sing softly for a ballad or powerfully when needed. To add, he also sings most of their vocal guides for their songs. He’s also the lead dancer, meaning when the group is dancing together as a whole, Jungkook is usually the one front and center, expected to lead everyone through the dance (you will see this in a lot of their choreography). Along with that, he’s one of the sub-rappers - think of him as rap support, a pinch hitter when needed, even though his main focus is vocals. I encourage you to watch/react to any of the following videos or them all whenever you get the chance "Jungkook the Main Vocalist of BTS", "Jungkook the Golden Maknae", "Jungkook Doesn't Know Autotune", and "Jungkook's Amazing Vocals". These are such amazing performances. JHope in "Tear" (live especially) kills me. The emotion is just so raw and overwhelming. "On" is one of my favorite songs and videos, and the dancing is INSANE. "Tear" is heartbreaking, especially when you know the story behind it. BTS has the best rapline in the history of music, and they always will be. All 3 are talented and incredible. Jhope is the main dancer of BTS. RM and Suga convinced him to join the rap line and they were right. He is so good at everything he does. And he literally looks like an Angel. He is called by Army sunshine because of his fun personality and his smile and laughter is so contagious. Puts a smile in our face every time, but when he’s on stage he transforms. Jimin is the other main dancer since he has the contemporary background. All members are super talented. They can do it all. As a group they are phenomenal as they are a solo artists. You should watch their guide.

I don’t know when it changed, but everywhere I read they both have the title of BTS main dancers. And don’t get me wrong I have always seen them equally as the best dancers in K-pop and even beyond. But being Army for two years is the perception that I always had by Army and even guides that I have watch it always said Jhope was the main dancer. I apologize.

BTS is definitely the right choice of group if you love rap! i hope you check out their Cypher series. they released 4 of them throughout their albums (2013, 2013 again, 2014, 2016) . they sadly stopped the cyphers at 4 but thankfully still continued rap line songs in their albums, Tear being one of them. Ugh and Ddaeng are also 2 other bangers by the rapline. Their solo releases are also really good! the boys have so much love for the genre and don't just do it for the "hiphop" badass aesthetic or concept. they always pour their hearts out and are such genuine artists. RM and Suga were both rappers before joining Bighit but J-hope surprisingly was a street dancer who later learnt to rap as a trainee with their help. but all three of them have very distinct styles when it comes to their music which is very evident from their solo works. hope you check more of their stuff! PS also love how you genuinely appreciate and pay attention to their music as a whole package. the vocals, rap, lyrics, visuals! thank you for loving our boys

Tear's outfit was designed by Dior excusively to BTS concerts, J-HOPE's outfit is also my favorite. J-HOPE's part is very powerfull. Something that I love about BTS is the ability to convey so many feelings with their voices. It's a talent that many artist and the industry underestimate. I recommend you The Thuth Untold live performance, a vocal line song, it's from the same álbum that Fake love and Tear come. On came out with BlackSwam on one of their best albums (Map of the soul:7) and it was a slap to Army, it was the end of an Era and it was unexpected but amazing.

When i first started listening to BTS i could identify jimin, RM, and j-hope early on but it took me a bit longer for the other 4. When they change their hair a lot too it makes it even more difficult. Back then i wish i would have known about Taylor's introduction to BTS so i could have learned about them faster. I started with watching fake love and loved it so i worked my way through all the discography on spotify and then searched youtube for live performances. So, i didn't even know about most of the stuff until i started watching reaction videos and run bts. Outro tear is one of my favorite BTS songs. I have said this before, but your understanding of symbolism and meaning as well as your gut impressions of each of the artist is so amazing. Many cultures (asians and european) are much more in tune to symbolism than in the united states in my opinion just due to cultural exposure. But even in that category i think you have a gift. Three more things: 1. My favorite part of outro tear is that part you loved too. It is so powerful. 2. You showing your favorite idols to your grandma was so fun. She seems like an awesome and fun grandma. 3. Since I am relatively new to kpop (6 months) and have only checked out BTS (deep dive), stray kids (a little-love the taste. Gods menu, freeze. The sound, and more), and one or two songs from other bands (love halazia from ateez and psycho from seventeen"s jun) I was wondering if you could recommend your favorite TXT songs since I would like to learn more about them but it would be great if I knew where to start. Finally, I have a few recommendations for you: amygdala by suga/agust d. This song touches my soul. It is about suga and his past trauma. I feel this song in my core having lost all my family early except my younger brother. I have different trauma than he went through but the emotional feeling is the same. I also love Burn It and Snooze (also suga/agust D). You will love them. I have lots more recommendations but too many at once it too overwhelming. Amygdala is emotional, snooze is sweet and burn it is a hype song.

You should check out their 2019 MAMA speech make sure have English subtitles.. to be able to know why this song is so important to ARMY and BTS.. then next you should. Check out the Guide to the 7 members by Taylor to know who they are.. I think it’s time, lol… speaking as an ARMY who was there for this live performance… will never forget the feelings I was feeling at the time.. I was blessed to be able to see them performed this song 7 times but this time at Wembley stadium was unforgettable well I should say more special.. The first time I heard this song live was in 2018 in Chicago.. I was crying cause i love this song so much and it was and still is my all time favorite rap song, mind you I didn’t know at the time that the song meant more cause of them thinking of disbandment until later.. Can feel the hurts and fear they are going thru in Outro:Tear. I heard from the boys while the rapline are rehearsing the song , they were all crying (thought of disbanding) and they eventually reveal it on one awards ceremony. After that, they got a serious talk about it and they continued. They produced more hits afterwards like ON, Boy with Luv and their first BB Hot 100 No. 1 song, Dynamite. In addition, Jin mentioned in Suchwita talk show that they rarely get off days after they became famous. Most likely it's after DNA era. They have to attend talk shows, tours, perform in awards ceremony, etc. It's crazy.

I am chapter 2 army as well. I started watching k dramas last year and started saving my favorite OST tracks to a playlist and recommending them to my coworker who I got into kdramas. In January she was telling me about BTS because her daughter was into them and I had never even heard of them. I typed in bts into youtube and fake love was first on the list. That video was so artistically beautiful and the song was right up my alley. The rest is history.

I got into webtoons almost 2 years ago and eventually searched for „idols Korean“ on google last year…oh well and what showed was hobi jumping onto the stage at hobipalooza 😍. First thing I saw was him performing more live with 100000 armys sing along…before that, my only bts experience was my universe with Coldplay and that’s not really my cup of tea soundwise, but jack in the box left me speechless and after that it was over. Got bias wrecked by suga in fire and run mv (his mint hair omg) and then again and again and again. I was a lonely stressed mental struggeling 39 ys old mom of 2 before, not knowing I was able to find my inner bubbly cheerful self again through music. And Korean music…. I’m really happy hobi and army found me. I’m ot 7 now but hobi has a special place together with suga

So SUGA dedicated this song to his members(BTS) and it was when BTS were almost at the edge of making decision of their disbandment in 2018. The lyrics for “Tear” were written for the members. SUGA told us when he was writing the melody, at the time, they were deeply contemplating whether they should quit or not. He said "When I played the song for the members we all cried together.” ☹SO this was just a little background of this song for you!
