Hey Guys, i really appreciate that you share your beginnings with us. When looking on KZbin or Instagram i always think that everyone is very good at the whole film-making and picture stuff and i become like kinda scared to start shooting because i often think i will never get that good like they are (or like you are) and as u mentioned in your Video its the same for me: I expect my first Video to have a quality close to yours even though i know that this is nearly impossible. So i didnt even try. I have a GH5 like 2 years now and didnt even shoot and edited a single video. I took just a few pictures with it. Such a shame. Your Video helped me to realize that u have to start somewhere and get your ass up even the end product isnt looking that great as u expected it to be. Skills develope over time and need a lot of practice and failing is part of the process. That is what i take from your Video. Really thank you guys for everything your teach here for free. I will learn to use it and finally get started doing Videos. Keep going!

Remember new filmmakers: it takes 10000 hours to become an expert. That's around 4-5 years. Don't give up!

I agree it takes a lot of practice to be an expert. However, it doesn’t have to take 4-5 years to get there. The more you practice within a short amount of time, the better and faster results you get.

I feel like having money for gear and knowing what you want to shoot will help cut the learning curve a lot, like if you mainly just want to shoot cars, do a lot of research on car photography/ videography and find out what the best settings are etc and then just go out and do a bunch of free shoots for people so you can practice until you feel like you can charge people for your services.
