Btw, kind of hard to notice on your first watch through, but SAD-ist actually has continuity through all her works for the characters appearance wise, like you'll notice Tubbo keeps his scars from his previous deaths. Jack actually had a stream where he had SAD-ist on call basically interviewing her (this was before the most recent 2 animatics came out, at the time she mentioned she was working on 4 of them I believe).

she actually said that techno isn't wearing a mask and that its his pig side of him ! thats why in hog hunt when his face reattached it had the pig face :) and if you look at philza, tommy, wilbur, and techno's hair they all have braids (in hog hunt) thats because in the lore they are brothers (tommy and techno are adopted though, wilbur is the only blood related one)

@@aly-xk8keI believe that they meant to clarify that the whole sbi dynamic where Techno is a brother-like figure isn't canon at all. It gets kind of confusing because some of the interactions are can be seen as different than this, but techno isn't a brother-like figure to Tommy or Wilbur at all in straight-up canon because he has said in the past he doesn't want it to be. The fans' interpretations and headcanons are okay but when we're looking at the intended canon facts he is just Philza's friend and the powerhouse anarchist of the server. You regarding him as a brotherly figure to them is completely fine for your own headcanon but is not fact when it comes to canon. Just trying to clear it up a bit :)

Techno is actually not wearing a mask in Sad-ist's design, that's his actual face. You can see that in the revival scene, his skull has the tusks. I highly recommend watching it! Sometimes you can also see his hears move. He also has pig hoofs as feet. You can see that more clearly in her Techno vs Dream animation. She also confirmed this in her Interview with Jack Manifold on his stream. They went over all of her animatics together. Also, to clear something up, Tommy and Wilbur not canonically brothers. The Sleepy Bois Inc family dynamic with Phil as Techno, Tommy and Wilbur's father is not canon. Only Wilbur is canonically Phil's biological child, with Fundy being Wilbur's canonical biological son. The dynamic is not canon because it doesn't fit with what Techno had in mind for his character. They do behave like a family tho XD It's really entertaining to see.

Recently Wilbur & Tommy's characters confirmed in lore that they saw each other as brothers. Tommy implied that he doesn't see Wilbur as close since he changed (probably about the time he wanted to blow up L'manberg), but I think Wilbur does. Wilbur's doing absolutely everything in his power to keep Tommy at his side rn.

14:09 The reason why Techno surrendered to The Butchers in this scene is because Carl(the horse) got involved in the frenzy. That horse is important to Techno because one of his top donors on Twitch told Techno that if that horse dies on stream, the donor would stop donating and ever since then, Technoblade has taken good care of Carl.

I actually discovered the Dream SMP thanks to her first animation! As you said her's and many other animators interpretations are just insane!! Tommy actually explained that for the bloopers when Dream blew himself up Dream actually did it intentionally because it was during Tommy's exile which had a lot of angst and triggering situations so to he did it make the stream a bit more lighthearted. And when Tommy got hit by lightning Dream didn't know they were still doing lore and decided to mess with Tommy by stricking him with it but Tommy actually got hit a second time that wasn't Dream's fault. XD

So Ranboo explained the scripting aspect of the story. They all have their own character like- traits and backstories that they write, but it's on beats like Wes said. They'll write one or two lines that they really wanna say, but most if not all is improv, especially with how characters come together and interact with each other because they never know what the other is going to say. Their cues could be something as vague as "Have a conversation with [blank] at this moment". They also discuss who wants to be a part of whoever's lore. Like I think Ranboo's example was someone asking him if he'd help set something up for another character's lore by involving his character. A good example is the Egg storyline. BBH is writing it, but he asks other people if they want to be involved and then they take it from there. It's honestly really cool.

fun fact! pretty much all streams, lore or otherwise, are uploaded onto youtube either by the streamers themselves or fans that record the streams. all of Tommy’s are on his official vods channel called TommyVods. also with that lighting blooper, Dream specifically programmed the lighting to strike Tommy at the moment it did cuz he wanted to be funny and add some fun for himself, the audience, and the streamers cuz things were getting heavy. lighting is super rare and it has a really low chance of striking your character so it was purposeful, but only Dream knew that

Talking about the difference between Techno in SAD-ist's animations vs his minecraft skin, some thoughts occured to me. It's interesting the more you see of Techno, the more you realize why he's so beloved. In all his videos, I never saw him truly rage once. He kept a sense of humor and lightness and never lost his temper. Even in PvP situations where if it were me, I would've lost my cool completely. Yes, in the story of the Dream SMP, he was feared, and dangerous, and rightly so. But he was also an exceptionally decent human being. Just one among many moments I always remember is him setting aside the jokes for a moment to defend squidkid in the middle of the great potato war, when everyone was hating on him and saying he just got lucky and only had subscribers because Technoblade happened to look his way.

I absolutely loved this reaction! Another funny animatic from her is Dre SMP, it was literally painfully obvious that the cc's wanted it animated so SAD-ist did and it's hilarious. Evelyn Evelyn is also a sad one about Tommy and Tubbo! Also, I am pretty sure that Technoblade's 'mask' is actually his face considering how the ears and eyes move with the facial expressions.

IDK if this is interesting, but heres a few random details that myself and others have noticed.(mostly others XD) 1: Whenever Wilbur is literally out of his mind, his eyes are scribbled, so when he blows up Le'Manburg, he is completely aware of whats happening 2: In the Dream V Techno animation, Techno's long braid gets cut off, and through these animatic you see his hair short. Also, in that same animation, the Dream V Techno one, Dream gets slashed across the face, and in dawn of the 16th, you can see it for a brief frame when he is putting his mask on. 3: This isn't rly a detail, but 2Wei actually did the sound design for Hog Hunt. Like, for some of the sound effects. 4: Also Hog Hunt, Ranboo is the only one without an apron for The Butchers army, and its because he was hesitant to join, and joined late, so he didn't have the butchers skin. 5: Techno's arm gets caught in the bars of the cage when he reforms, and there are green stitches stitching him back together because of the green totem. (I think)

Music wise, artists like 2Wei, Tommee Proffitt, Hidden Citizen, etc makes epic/cinematic covers and songs that are actually used by a ton of TV shows, movies, and game trailers. GoT is actually one of the bigger buyers of songs like that. 2Wei has been part of some really cool things and it is really cool that they partnered with Sad-ist. It explains why it reminds you of GoT. They probably made the music for a trailer or two.

@@brooke4723 I'm just going off of what I remember from what she said when she was on Jack's stream, but I'm 99% sure the second one was made on a tablet. you can also tell because when you're using a proper pen, the lines will be a lot smoother, and the first one has sketchy and choppy lines for the most part because it was drawn with fingers on a phone, but all the ones after that have much cleaner lineart.
