@@catsarai-genxrewind5271 Likes and dislikes are so generational. I was 20 in 1977 so caught both the 70s and 80s and loved them both musically, for different reasons. I loved 70s rock, and dancing to pure 80s music, such as Everybody Wants to Rule the World (still one of my fav' songs), A Little Respect by Erasure etc. They make you feel happy. Tears for Fears was possibly the most outstandingly talented of what we might regard as the quintessential 80s groups, e.g. Human League (not including groups like New Order - e.g. utterly brilliant song Temptation). I love the 60s as well, possibly the most influential decade. Although I like many, many, songs and groups from the 90s I do not think the 90s, or since, compares overall to the previous 3 decades. Perhaps we loved music so much because we had to make a commitment to a genre, make an effort to hear it and make an effort to go down the shops and buy it. Since the 90s no effort is required. Computers and the internet have provided alternatives to music. The musical paradigm has also changed; where shows like The X-Factor encourage mediocrity and blandness, and the same few writers write the music for Katie Perry, Lady Gaga etc, which is a bit limiting. Having said that I do like Katie!

Amazing to see how you express yourself..why? The energy i feel with this song, I also feel when I hear this song...it's beyond powerful song. My parents told me, the 80's were the most violent years...90's things kinda calm down...60's was madness (the hipppies). Now we know why the hippies were very dangerous people.

The group were really into Primal Scream therapy where you're encouraged to shout and scream your internal angst to 'let go' of your inner turmoil, this was the basis of this song and also the group name.

Superb choice ... a real favourite of mine. I love the way they layer and transition the instrumentals, the vocals are really powerful too. I bought the Songs From The Big Chair album based on hearing this track, it's a superb album :-) I'm not sure, but I think the lyrics are a call for people to 'shout' out against injustice and stand up for what's right, rather than just ignoring it ... I think.
