"It sounds so different (...) that it sounds like an entirely different person." Yeah, that's Colm McGuinness and that's why we love him :D
@SeliahK2 жыл бұрын
The differences between Colm's upper register and his lower register is like two totally different singers. And I love him for it. He sounds absolutely angelic in the upper register, and like an earthquake in his bottom register. I love it! Peter Barber commented in one of his analysis videos that he thinks Colm intentionally darkens his lower register as a stylistic choice. But either way, I love it! LOL There is absolutely NO mistaking his voice when you hear it - in either register.

THIS song brought out things in almost EVERYBODY’s voice that I hadn’t heard much before. Peter did a brilliant job arranging this for each voice to showcase them at their best. I’ve been just gobsmacked at the depth that has come into Marwan’s voice in the last year-it was great before, but it’s just so beautiful now. Tomi’s riff at the end, and Bobby’s mid register!! And this was a great choice for Colm’s voice (I didn’t know this but his name is actually pronounced like Column). This was an amazing finale! And if you haven’t checked out Peter’s latest cover, you really should. He BROUGHT IT. Great reaction!

Great reaction as usual. Hope to see Jonathan Young and Colm both on this channel a bit more. Definitely suggest Jonathan's cover of "What Could Have Been", especially if you enjoyed Arcane.

Great reaction as always. Love these guys. They are so talented. I believe there are only 2 songs from their first release that you haven’t reacted to - Therefore I am (on Peter’s channel) and Copycat (on Marwan’s channel). Both are amazing. You should also take a look at Stay from Marwan - he is so talented and still so young.

Hi Kazzandra! I've been sneak-watching your reactions late at night (can't sleep, twitches from restless legs, yada, yada, yada) and have come to love your constant dialogue and self-talk. As someone who does my own conversations with the other-me, I can relate. Peter Barber and the Bass Gang blew me away with this release and your reaction to it is superb. Love your zany breakdowns and very good analysis. The Bass Gang have a good friend in you. Hope to see, and hear, more of them on your channel.

So Colm McGuinnes is famous for his ability to darken his voice to inhuman extremes when he drips into his low bass range. Please react to some of his works.

We always talk about the big three aca bands with Voctave being fourth since there's no vocal perc. I think we're getting another contender here. Every song gets better and I loved their guests. Too bad one wasn't Geoff. LOL This song is from Hunger Games.

Hey Kaz, love your reactions! If you haven't already, please react to Jonathan Young, Colm McGuinness and Peyton Parrish's version of Misty Mountains. Each guy does 2 verses, Jon, Colm, then Peyton. Colm's first verse is mid to high tenor and his second verse is bass as bass can get. Since you commented on how different his voice can get, that's a really good example. Also the higher tenor notes in the background behind Jon and Peyton are by Colm.
