To be fair, Quirrell let the troll in, No one was supposed to go in the room with Fluffy, which was why the door was locked, The basilisk was only dangerous if the heir to Slytherin was at the school, and the chamber itself was hidden in the last place anyone would look. The tree was planted for Lupin And as far as we know, the only werewolf was Lupin, the giant spiders don’t go to the school, and dementors were only station at the school because of Sirius Black. There’s a reason the staff tells you not to go into the forbidden forest unless you’re with someone like Hagrid

To be fair to Hogwarts: The troll was let in The dog wasn’t there before and stopped being there after Year 1 The basilisk was asleep then killed The tree and spiders (pre Deathly Hallows) won’t do anything if you don’t go near them Werewolves and Dementors aren’t actually at the school But yeah, Hogwarts isn’t really a safe place.

As for naming his third son Albus Severus I think it’s because they did the most as far as defeating Voldemort was concerned.
