Speak to someone at the army careers office see what they said, it may be ok and you are just limited to certain job roles. 👍🏻

Hey, I was wondering if you knew anything about the process of going through P-Coy after commising from RMAS. Because obviously as a solider you have plenty of PT that is directly aimed at helping you pass P-Coy but I wonder do officers get that same build up. Because at Sandhurst I'd assume its just general PT that doesn't exactly cater for those types of tests. Thanks

Yes you get the same build up. I think you would need to request to be posted to 16 medical regiment when you have finished Sandhurst. I’m not sure how this process would go, if it’s a choice or if you just get posted where they want you. Once you get there you will be able do pre para when one is running there is a pre para beat up which normally consists of 3 weeks regimental beat up training, (2 Pt sessions a day normally) then you would go straight from that onto brigade pre para, this is a further 3 weeks of 2 - 3 sessions a day. After you have done this you will go up to Catterick do a further 2 weeks of training with the P Company staff, these are basically mini tests if you show you can stick with the training you will receive red cards, if you get 3 you get sent home. After completing them 2 weeks you finally get the chance to go on to P Company test week, which I’m sure you are familiar with. Appreciate that is a lot of information but if you do your general training at sandhurst and some of your own personal training when you get spare time you can get in good enough shape for pre para and use that to get ready for test week.
