i just applied for rsigs, waiting on my medical records. this is going to be super useful for getting fit enough for assessment centre. id hate to have to be turned away and get told to go and get fit, so im going to try your plan, appreciate it

Those were literally my exact choices. I still can’t choose though. If there was something as demanding as infantry but with a great skill set to learn like cyber engineering, I’d go for that in a heartbeat

Great video, thank you for the effort you have put in to help us join the army. I have one question though, for the strength sessions, are there any rests in between sets, if yes, how long should the rest time be?

No worries. 2-3 minutes depending on your ability. The important thing is to get all the reps done, if that means taking a longer Rest then do that. As you get stronger you will require less rest.

Mate quick question, theres alot of confusion online about measurements of 20m, and step measurements etc, whats the best way to measure it out?

A tape measure. If you don’t have a 20 meter one use mark the start with a cone or something like a jacket. Then just use a 5 meter tape and gradually measure out 20 meters then mark the end out. Run between the two markers 👍

Wouldn’t measure it out using steps it will be different for everyone that does it, just buy a tape measure £1 or something

Hi Kyle, this is a lovely video! I recently applied to join the British army as a paratrooper (quite ironic for a medium sized semi skinny dude, but I don't believe in impossibilities). I haven't jogged in a while but last I checked I could jog for 60mins on a slow and steady pace, on a mixed terrain. I haven't been invited for assessment but my fingers are crossed, I want to start prepping for training and I came across your video. I have no means of measuring distance (miles), is there a way I could work around that? I also need to know if I could rest at intervals in the 20 reps per exercise AMRAPs, if yes, how long can I rest? I truly appreciate the effort you've put in to help us prepare for training 🙏🏽

Check my most recent video there is an updated training plan for para entry. Also, use your phone to measure, Strava app is decent. If you still have nothing then find a free running track to use, each loop is 400 meters use that to calculate your mileage

Well there are loads of different methods of doing mobility work, search 10 minute mobility session in KZbin. Or do yoga, Pilates, there’s loads of different methods improving mobility.

@@KyleSmithFIT Stopped drinking at 19 and never looked back mate, why pay £100's each weekend you go out to feel good for 3 hours and shit for the next few days. No brainer :) Everyone in life needs an escapism, something naughty to make the stresses of life a bit easier for a few hours, but drinking just isn't the one. I know next to no one who stopped drinking and has ''missed it''. Nearly all those who do give it up, never look back.

Hi Kyle, my medical form is under the review stage. I have no medical condition hence I responded NO on the online medical questionnaire when I was asked about having a GP or Doctor. Please can that affect my application? If yes, what can I do to get back on track because that’s the honest response that I gave. Thank you

It will be fine mate, under review just means they are looking in to it, if your not been to the doctor for anything I wouldn’t worry about it. Sometimes it just takes sometime

Hey man I was thinking about joining the paras for the sake of being able to say that I joined the paras and to prove to myself that I have what it takes, I'm quite young. Still a minor at the moment. I also want to transfer to REME after a year or two because learning hands on is the best way I learn and I'd quite like a career in some sort of vehicle engineering. Any advice for how long I should stay in the paras, whether I should just jump straight into REME, and just any advice for people like myself who want to have a little stint in the military?

Well either the paras or the marines since I definitely prefer the weights to the running

You can join the REME and still get your para wings, basically work with the parachute regiment. Like wise you can get your commando dagger and be in the reme, same thing as mentioned above but this time you would support the Royal Marines. Look up - all arms commando course and all arms P-Company

Good evening Kyle great videos so here is my question. So I have been on the website looking at be a rejoiner so I served in the British Army for 7 years with 3 Yorks/1 Yorks. So you are saying you don't know about the commonwealth situation but I'm from South Africa how do I go about it, as it states on the website I can rejoin? Also just a side note i left the army out of my own free will 0 medical discharge or anything.

If you still live in the UK maybe go to your local recruitment office. If not, try to apply online if it will let you, or worse case try find the contact f number for army recruitment and give them a call. They should be able to help.

@@KyleSmithFITI have been in uk for 2 years I submitted my report from the gp and they said I need to bring report from back home overseas, so the medical system overseas is not organised which getting medical reports from birth is not even available, it’s only Even possible to get like previous 5 years report

All depends on the job and how many vaccines they have in that role, can be anything from a few weeks to a few years. Best off asking your recruiter or when at the assessment centre, they are the only people that can give you an exact answer.
