I mean partially true, but the official reason given by Henry was charges of adultery. Though the only evidence of this was one guy who was forced to give a confession after being tortured so it could have been true or it may not have been.

I love the lyrics of all the songs, there are so many historical references. Out of all the lines in this song I think "say oh well or go to hell" is my favorite one. It comes off as a provocation by Anne but actually refers to the choice Henry gave her: staying alive and her daughter Elizabeth loses all right to the throne or she gets beheaded but Elizabeth still remains a candidate for the throne. In the end Anne sacrificed herself for the sake of her daughter's future.

This song is actually one of my favourites but I realized that this wasn’t everything about Anne. This is her story after she was sent to France and back to where the king is and she started to seduce him. But she has a story before that. It involves with her already in love and wanting to marry another guy named Henry (I think) but her parent didn’t want her to. And soon she was sent to France to help the queen and learn from her.

@@jun0sicecreamshop.15 that’s okay. There is so much to remeber in history. But she had a little girl which became Queen Elizabeth the first. She was he headed for possible of cheating and also (not really proven) incest with her brother because she was desperate (cause she lost her child in her belly after Elizabeth) to have a baby boy as she promised the king if he marries her , she can give him what his first wife can’t (an heir).

That's the whole point of the musical. They all had their own lifes and achievments BEFORE marrying Henry. But nobody knows that a a very few people cares because in history they are know as Henry's six wives. That's all and that's sad

I’m just stating that story I know about Anne before Henry. And also from what I heard she already met Henry and was interested in him before she was sent to France. But something happened and she wasn’t as ambitious after learning from the Queen of France (that’s what I know, not 100% sure)
