I read the new Descendants book and based off that the reason she’s so rebellious is and disobedient towards her mom is because her mom has all these rules set up in wonderland and Red has no freedom to do what she wants. No partying, no fun, etc which is why she acts the way she does.

This song is amazing! Why do I have a feeling that Red is much more hardcore than Mal or the other VK’s? Like we were told that this movie would be darker in nature, but I think Red will be much more chaotic than the other VK’s. Well she did spray paint a heart around Mal and Ben’s picture in the Bad Reputation trailer so we may get an explanation of that in the movie or maybe she looks up to Mal and wants to go to Auradon just like she did.

Honestly, my al-time favorite part of the song Red is when the actress flips backwards off the tower right above that huge poster of her mother and uses a knife to slice through the poster from the top straight down to slow her fall to the ground.

Kylie Cantrall (Red) reacted to the song and confirmed that she had a stunt double. It’s theorized that Maddox, the son of the Mad Hatter, who is the royal chief inventor, Red’s tutor and friend, is the one using the claw to save her from being captured by the Captain of the Crimson Army, Jack of Diamonds. If you read the prequel novel called Beyond the Isle of the Lost: Wonderland, by Melissa de la Cruz, you will have absolutely no problems understanding why Red despises her mother in the movie. I certainly have no difficulty understanding Red's activities in this song, since I recently finished reading that prequel novel shortly before this song was first released onto KZbin.
