I work in a PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) and we have at least 2 people on every single patient and if something goes wrong that quickly turns to like 4 or 5 nurses, doctors and cnas all independently working their asses off to save that person. What freaks me out about these anesthesia tattoos is, what if something goes wrong? One person could not maintain the airway, perform cpr, administer required drugs and restrain the person if they are in an episode of MH. So they are 100% banking on every single thing going exactly ok and zero complications ever occuring. Because if that happens all those tattoo artists in scrubs wont be able to do shit. Itll be one doctor fighting an impossible battle he will without a doubt lose

I dig what Joaquin does, it isn't my favorite but I think it is fun. There are some that are more traditional that I clearly like more qand I appreciate how it is traditional but also different. There are a ton of great tattoo artists in Barcelona at great prices, all of spain really. Jacin in Valenica, Oriol (LastMinuter) in Barcelona and Junchihara, only Japanese dude who has every tattooed me, very nice guy, Polfish, plus you got JavierGarciaTattoo before we goes to Stockholm. Go to Spain, get a tattoo, tell em Tenthumbs sent ya

Regarding the freehand hanya mask, I've seen a lot of people start with the nose when they begin the sketch. I'm not personally into this one or no-stencil tattooing (have seen Horiyoshi III do it) but the hanya mask seems to be such a recognizable and cartoonish image that it's probably easier to pull off versus something like a snake, dragon or tiger.

Have you done any white over black yet dude? It's always worth letting blackout settle for a few years but as long as you use a different black in over the top, you're golden

And the no stencil back piece is slightly proportionally wonky. I am not a tatter....but I am an artist who has been obsessively drawing for the past 47 years. And it's slightly off. It's beautiful and no one else would notice that, but you're right, I guess whatever for attention.

That whale tattoo 😍 🐳 6:59 the problem sometimes with a giant back tattoo is that it highlights when a guy has a narrow back and shoulders. What was meant to be this big impressive piece that broadens the upper back ends up doing the exact opposite 15:48 really surprised at his reaction to this devil and skeletons one. I loved every bit of how it was done. The red outline on the devil gave it this incorporeal look that I loved. It’s like the devil is right next to us, influencing us, but we can’t see him since he’s in a spiritual form

There's also this show called "How Bad is Tattoo Bad" where two friends/partners/acquaintances pick a tattoo for the other person, and like 90% of the time they have beef and pick the worst tattoos. Great video! Would love to see what you think of the shows I was talking about.

I mean I get the hyper realism artist’s process. If I were a tattooer, I probably would opt to draw the sketch on too. Just so I can account for the curves of the body. I might change my design in the moment based on how it falls on the body.

There's a local group of tattooers that will do the anesthesia tattoos and, personally, I just don't really get it. Like, one, why do you need that much tattooing on your body all at once? I can't imagine the recovery process on that. Second, if you're doing it for something smaller and can't handle the pain, do it in multiple sessions or don't do it. Idk, people can waste their money however they want, I guess.
