Growing up just outside of Motown, This tune defined the memory of the summer of 1970 there..

I remember this song. Haven't heard it in awhile, but loved it back then and still love it now. Love the spinners. One of my all time favorite songs are Love don't love nobody and Sadie.

Beautiful fast tempo ballad by this group formerly known as the Detroit Spinners. They were a Motown group but they fell on lean times. They left and headed to Atlantic Record's and things changed when they started to work with the late great Thom Bell of Philadelphia fame. They were transformed, they got a new lease on life.Great harmony with a great lead voice, anyone of them could have taken the lead. You should react to Call Me I'll Be There, How Could I Let You Get Away, I Don't Wanna Lose You, You Made A Promise To Me and Mighty Love.Well done, keep it up.

Another classic. Released in the UK on the Motown label it hit #20 in the UK chart in 1970. Known as the "Detroit Spinners" this side of the pond. They quit Motown moved to Philadelphia signed with Atlantic and produced some of the best smooth soul sounds ever. In 1973 Ghetto Child hit #7 in the UK chart. It wasnt until 1980 that they scored there first and only #1 with the "Working my way back to you" medley. Keep them coming Bro.

Yes indeed, another solid choice from one of my favorites groups of the 70's the Mighty Mighty Spinners. Co-wrote and produced by the legendary Stevie Wonder when he was only 20 years old!

Can you believe that the same person that led The Spinners on the first part of the song did the high notes as well? G.C. Cameron, who also gave us the original version of "It's So Hard To Say Goodbye To Yesterday.? However, he should be just as known for his ability to sound like other artists, such as Smokey Robinson on his song "(Don't Wanna) Play Pajama Games"kzbin.info/www/bejne/qpvCY4CYoZuJaKM, Curtis Mayfield on "No Matter Where" kzbin.info/www/bejne/e5uqoqKKhq50eJI and The Isley Brothers on his duet with Willie Hutch "Come Get This Thang.' kzbin.info/www/bejne/rnvHq3Wfo5ilZpo You will also enjoy his cover of Van McCoy's "Let Me Down Easy", "If You Don't Love Me", "I'm Gonna Give You Respect", "Strong Love", the DJ "S" remix of "You're What's Been Missing From My Life" and his reflective songs "Topics" and "Time."
