1:38 of all the videos I've seen of non lethal crashes, the harsness on the Fiesta R2 is the nastiest. No energy transfered away, just an instant stop. Bet those guys will never cheap out in HANS devices. 2:05 every time I come across this clip I can't help how bad of an outcome could've been. Quick thinking and commitment saved the day not just for the crew. 5:00 legen Klausner and his Quattro. Can even see the flames lighting the roof of the Audi, shooting from the side exhaust. Sadly he died just a few years ago in a motorbike crash. 7:45 I believe the longest jump ever on the WRC's history, might've been Formaux? Over 70m flying.

The hardest thing, to do on the lose surfaces for me is transfering from left to right / from right to left turn, while maintaining a proper speed to not to went of the road. Meanwhile, hardest thing on the tarmac - survive. You misjudged your tires grip - you go of the cliff. You misjudge aquaplaning on the water puddle - you are in the tree. You clipped dirt outside of the road and not reacted properly - you are in the ravine. Car before you clipped the dirt and throwed a bit of it on the road and you misjudeged loss of the grip due to that - you are in the ravine of top of previous guy. Thats why i suck driving on tarmac in rally sims... Im al of it in one vessel...

At the world level, there are usually five or six guys who are getting paid to drive, and everyone else is paying the manufacturers to be there. In the US, in any given year there may be one or two people for whom driving is a job. A couple dozen others may get a couple hundred dollars per rally in contingency money from vehicle manufacturers like Mazda or Subaru.
