I hated the way Manny was treated by all of her partners. She deserves so much better than what they gave her. All of her boyfriends either wanted to sleep with her or just did not care about her. They constantly made her second-guess herself; her talents, her worth, her beauty when she's that girl!! I do believe Jay got it right at the end but that does not absolve him of his crimes!! And I mean literal crimes!

Nah Peter not only never apologized to Manny, but when the incident is brought up again during the Spring Break episode, he literally laughs about it. Yeah there are moments where he is more likable later on, but the man is still trash. Actually they did the same thing with Peter and Jay they put them in relationships that made them more likable without actually doing any redemption storylines.

Ashley was horrible. She was a bad friend, a bad girlfriend and had a nasty attitude 95% of the time.

Right I could go on and on about the horrible things she says and does. Like breaking up with someone on their birthday twice, and making your friends give him the news instead of yourself, yikes.

I have a REALLY unpopular opinion: I would've done what Ashley did 💀 so I don't blame her. I love Manny but she DID knowingly homewreck and people irl blast their cheating partners out all the time and the person that was involved (whether they knew that they were taken or not) and if MY man got another girl pregnant AND I confronted her about it beforehand and I saw the hints and clues that she knew she was homewrecking... I'm blasting out the pregnancy as well 💀 (even tho I'm not attracted to men lmao) ...Even though it wouldn't have the same effect as it did back in the early 2000s... Maybe I can get TikTok views from it, I don't know 🤣🤣🤣

Also the last interaction Manny and Ashely had prior to this was Manny apologizing-ish to Ashley and saying Craig hurt her too, and Ashley did look sympathetic then boom finds out they’re lovey dovey and expecting like a day or two later. Like…

Absolutely! Manny “I can keep a secret” Santos got what she deserved at that very moment. Idky ppl were in Ashley’s ass about that. Manny didn’t respect her relationship so why should she respect her pregnancy? This is why I always say Ashley was over hated.

I honestly feel Sean and ellie complement each other better then Emma and Sean. Sean actually stayed out of trouble with Ellie. They bonded on having family issues. They supported each other. They were a more low-key couple but they were cute. Emma only judged Sean and didn't even believe him when Peter framed him, which led to them having that dang street race that ruined Sean's opportunities, so he had to leave. She couldn't even wait for Sean to be gone for long before she got with Damian 🤮. I honestly think people like them because of nostalgia and because they were drama. (And another note, I don't know why Sean stayed friends with Jay like he is the reason Sean had to leave in the first place by inciting the school shooting and he influenced him to that stupid drag race like ugh I hate Jay)

I think it might be because no one could have known what Rick would have done. Jay really just tried to get Jimmy to take the blame and not get shot. But I absolutely agree I love Ellie and Sean. Crazy looking back at how every selfie episode also has to do with Rick who eventually ruins their relationship.

it's not the worst ship but there was no chemistry and it was boring compared to emma and sean to me things kind of dulled out which is a big reason why it made sense they ended it but i would deffo prefer it over craig and ellie (aka one of my least favorite ships) i'm more on the ellie/jimmy train though great chemistry that should have went somewhere but didn't and it didn't make ellie annoying like her with craig

Considering Craig went with Emma to see her dad and she had had a crush on him, I wonder if the show could have been groundbreaking to show a crush-turned-brother-figure in Craig for Emma. That would have been an interesting friendship to see explored more.

4:41- The show should have revealed that Stephanie has a different father, and that’s the real reason why her and Arthur’s parents got a divorce, and the real reason why Stephanie started to spiral is because she found out. They could have revealed that Dorthy was Arthur other half sister.

Rick's actor was one of the best on the show. I really would have loved to see him come back as a well adjusted twin brother who would try to deal with the fallout of Ricks actions and prove he's not Rick.

My unpopular opinion would be I liked Emma. I can see points where she was wrong, but she never had ill intent. Manny was not the bestest friend ever like people pretend. A couple of examples, when snake was on the phone awaiting bad news about cancer and Emma was waiting for him to get off the phone, or read his reaction, manny comes up says something, Emma ignored, manny says “ what did I do to offend you now?” One that’s rude. Two not everything is about you. Worst manny moment, she left Emma at a club after asking for her to come out, by herself to go hook up with Craig IN EMMAS BED. WTF

You wanna know something else Manny did that rubbed me the rug way, her treatment of Liberty. TBF, Emma was crappy towards Liberty as well but there were two instances that’s kinda pissed me off. 1. Manny dating JT. Now, I know Liberty didn’t own JT, HOWEVER, if my supposed friend had a huge crush on a guy, I would never try to date them. 2. When Manny told Emma about Liberty’s crush on her ex. Liberty clearly meant to keep that a secret. Manny found her journal and decided to go and tell Emma about it, and while Emma was wrong for the way she responded, I wouldn’t want my friend to date me ex. And then Manny TOLD Liberty what Emma said and caused more issues. It wasn’t a note worthy episode but Manny was being so messy and caused all this drama.

Peter & Craig are two examples of complex characters. The difference is Craig is flushed out whereas the writers kinda of gave up on Peter. Not every character deserves a redemption arc Peter is one of those

This one is really unpopular from the people I’ve seen but some people agree but Emma wasn’t a bad friend she was a little sassy in the beginning but remember she went through so much in the show her first episode is something that could traumatize her so Emma wasn’t a bad person or friends she was really just broken if you rewatch the show you can see that Emma went through so much stuff to the point I’m shook that she didn’t have a mental breakout of all the it’s Emma went through the worst stuff

Everyone hates on Ellie for her obsession over Craig but for real I was that girl in school obsessed with the same boy that I dated in 9th grade that we quickly broke up. I finally got over it thank goodness. 😢 I really relate to Ellie way too much 😅

I’m like Craig had a whole girlfriend and the show runners decided to end their arc with them kissing each other as if that was suppose to be romantic 😂. I ended up disliking her because of how selfish and inconsiderate she was. Like she doesn't even try to understand Marco struggling with being in the closet even though the previous night HE GOT ASSAULTED by a group of assholes. And her victim blaming Manny was vile, yeah I get that Manny was taking an insecurity of Ellie's and throwing it back in her face (which alot of Degrassi characters seemed to do that alot) but her taking a vulnerable moment in Manny's life where she was humiliated and degraded and to BLAME HER for that was fuckin vile of Ellie to do

Whoever said Tim should’ve been a series regular, you’re a fucking real one. I adored Tim and we deserved another gay guy. I think he would’ve graduated with Peters class? That would’ve been plenty of time to flesh out his character. Imagine he was the soccer kid that Riley was hooking up with.

Jay shouldn't be mad at Manny for NOT KNOWING that the ring was his grandma's because he never told her and even outright lied about his family being from Malta
